Another Australian tournament

Nintendo are running a tour around AU yet again. Called the "Connection Tour" or something like that, its basically just plugging Diamond and Pearl. They are running another poke competition for D/P but it's pretty crappy rules. Last time it was unlimited levels and was allowed ubers (ugh) but this time it'll be played on that standard cup option in multiplayer (basically, Item Clause, Species Clause, no ubers, max level 50) and sounds hillariously stupid.

hilariously stupid? How so :x :P For Victorians it IS only 8 days after Australian Diamond and Pearl release so the level 50 limit is alright. Heck, the entire event isn't even based on the battle competition. I'm probably going with a few friends to see what they have to offer - the competition will probably consist of people competing with their in game team anyway. (for Victorians, the WA might have more competitive battles with the extra time)

At least Australia gets some sort of event. >_>

Wow you people are behind. Gametraders import from America - I've had mine for about a week now. And mine WASN'T the first shipment! Jeez! or eBay or something

And i'm going for the sheer novelty, might open with a blissey lmao

And we have Steelicks in wa lmao

Yea, I'm glad I get the extra time for being in Sydney. It's a toss-up between winning and novelty, is there anything to be won?

WA guys we need to meet this time. I'll be going (with my steelix called Steelicks? - zomg!) .. so yeah. I have pearl already :o

And yes jus this is the hybrid you were talking to through anthony

I registered my mob because I can pretty much guarantee i'll forget otherwise. Its on the nintendo.com.au news page

How is this bad when it was better rules (imo), apart from the level-cap one than the JAA? No ubers and 1vs1 is surely better than weather teams of 2vs2...

Looks like the Lati twins are allowed! And no restriction on Soul Dew! That would be fun if I lived in Australia.

Lol Surgo, I was just about to say that. But yeah I don't live in Australia either. =S

Good luck to the rest of you that go though.

Ah, and one more thing that I noticed. Giratina isn't on that list of banned pokemon...wall of the worlds? Not that it's as useful in 3v3 as it is in 6v6 but it's still insane.

Wow, I'm surprised they have some sort of banned uber list. Don't see whats so incredibly sucky about it, apart from them forgetting the Latis and Giratina

Hah, whoops. I guess that level cap would stop Giratina. Oh well, there's always Soul Dew Latis.

If anyone wants someone to do training battles against, I'll help.
