Edit: got rid of to try to make it neater. took 20 mins..

Well this is my first Warstory! Sorry if my commentary really sucks but I don’t feel like I should speak too much with this being my first warstory. Yup im Bulbasauresrec the user who keeps getting flamed for posting unconstructive and quite useless posts. I never played any competitive battling till just 2 weeks ago and thus the earlier post I made before I started competitive battling were quite baseless… So I decided to go into competitive battling to gain some experience. Loss my first 7 Shoddy battles and realized I was not as competent as I thought I was. Often loss 5-0, 4-0 and even once 6-0. After that i slowly started winning some battles. Now I am proud to say that I win 2/5 of my battles despite being quite new.

Battle with extreemspeed using my UU team while he was using standard. Sorry if this is really really messy.. its my first time doing a warstory. I'm lemon tree. My moves in Red, commentary in Blue.

Me(only leads are in order, sorry no picture, don’t really know how to put them in)

Lucario used Flash Cannon.

Was expecting an Aurasphere or some other fighting move so switched in Arbok to tank the move and Intimidate if it was a physical Lucario. Flash cannon did a lot less then expected...

It's not very effective...
Dusknoir lost 18% of its health.
Dusknoir is paralysed! It can't move!
Dusknoir's leftovers restored its health a little!
Dusknoir restored 6% of its health.
I thought Bug was SE against Dark… Lucky paralyze I guess… Is that considered hax? I seriously don’t mind it. The next part of the battle was just para-flinching Dusknoir to death while slowing getting killed by Burn

Togekiss's leftovers restored its health a little!
Togekiss restored 6% of its health.
Usually use this guy as my tank with Hail/IceBody/Leftovers with max SpDef EVs and he usually does well. The next part of the battle is a repeat of my para-flinching Masquerain… can’t complain that I didn’t get a hit even though Blizzard would have 1-hit-koed him. My Masquerain did the same para-flinch on his Dusknoir without the Serene Grace. Walrein got para-flinced all the way without doing a single attack

Togekiss used Body Slam.
Walrein lost 16% of its health.
Walrein is paralysed! It may be unable to move!

Togekiss's leftovers restored its health a little!
Togekiss restored 6% of its health.
Extreemspeed tried for another para-flinch session but luckily the Body Slam missed and I get burned! No paralysis means I outspeed his remaining pokemon. Time for a Gutted Raticate Sweep!
2-1(me)

Raticate used Facade.
Togekiss lost 87% of its health.
extremespeed's Togekiss fainted.
Raticate was hurt by its burn!

lemontree wins!
extremespeed has left the room.

Props
CBded Arbok for getin the early kill on Lucario
Quagsire crit-haxing Donphan and Infernape
Para-flinching without serene grace
Raticate escaping paralysis and sweeping the rest with Guts

Flops
LOUSY commentary… (its my first warstory…)
Too dependent on Hax??
Solrock for only Stealth Rocking and died without doing anything else

Remove the font markings and I'll read it. You know, CTRL+H in word would have taken you like ten seconds.

That's a really, really bad warstory.

Dusknoir is Ghost type, not Dark, which is why Bug Buzz was ineffective.

I agree with Burn Jack, the story was quite poor, especially given that your opponent made so many errors of judgment. Sending out Donphan and keeping in Infernape against Quagsire without Grass Knot was just plain dumb. He should have switched in either Dusknoir or Togekiss immediately.

lemontree switched in Quagsire.
Infernape used Swords Dance.
Infernape's attack was sharply raised.
Quagsire used Surf.

Stopped reading there, lol. It's not a good idea to post a warstory when your opponent doesn't understand the concept of water>fire. I hope to God he didn't have Grass Knot in his moveset.

Note that Surf wouldn't have KOed without the CH. If you'd have read one more line, you'd know that x)

I wish this was better, since I really like Masquerain, but seriously, just because you beat an OU team with UU doesn't make this a good warstory.

It just goes to show, that the power of a weapon lies within the wielder.

He made some horrible calls, really. Any experienced player would've taken you out in a hot minute.

Also, things speak against you as well--not only does your team have huge weaknesses to standards, you thought Dusknoir was dark?

I believe you were to reliant on hax, as Quagsire wouldn't have KO'd either Donphan/Infernape without those CH's.

Don't think i'm being too harsh, i just believe that you should get a better feel for the game before you jump into making warstories.

It's the actions in war--not the spoils, that make a good story.

Hey hey hey... Chill; everyone needs to start someplace. Whilethough this isn't the greatest warstory in the world, it does show some of Bulba's potential. He has a moderately good idea of what he's doing, and from this point, he's really only going to improve.

In terms of things I will compliment, I applaude the usage of an arbok to handle a lucario. In terms of what you have available to you, arbok or masquerain were your best defensive options, while arbok stood the best chance of taking out your opponent.

Your team-building ability is decent, and I salute your intent on using UU. You're on your way to becoming very skilled. It will take a while, but I wish you luck!

lemontree switched in Quagsire.
Infernape used Swords Dance.
Infernape's attack was sharply raised.
Quagsire used Surf.

I was more bemused by the fact that neither player seemed to understand the concept of Ground>Fire. Earthquake would almost certainly have OHKO'd without the need for crithax.

I could see SDing vs Quagsire or Swampert if YOU were the one switching in - a smart opponent would probably switch out in fear of grass knot.

But when they send it out in front of ape... you know that fear isn't there at all >_<

why do people keep focusing on the infernape vs quagsire part? surf would not have 1-hit-koed, but neither would have earthquaked. was predicting a flying-type switch so at least i would have done some damage.

anyway from my in-game knowledge against the Ground type elite 4, my Empoleon with Grassknot DID NOT 1-hit-ko Quagsire.. thats why i decided to stay in..

Was ur Empoleon EV trained??

Anyway I really liked the team you use but the warstory was just...poor. It was basically a battle log with a few comments here and there. A warstory is meant to engage the reader, make them want to keep on reading and entertain them, not showcase how a bunch of UU/NU pokes beat an OU team (even if that is cool).

I never played any competitive battling till just 2 weeks ago and thus the earlier post I made before I started competitive battling were quite baseless…
