Anyone related to a celebrity?

I was wondering if any smogoners were related to a celebrity somehow. I am not, but was wondering if anyone else was. Im not asking for stuff like, being related to them as like a brother or something, but something like really far.

So are any smogoners related to a celebrity (or historical figure), in any way?
 
I'm related to Bram Stoker (the guy that wrote Dracula).

I can't remember how, my grandma sat me down and explained it to me one day.
 
No celebrites, but a few historical figures. I'm related to several famous Native Americans but the only one I can remember is Osceola. I'm also a descendant of Robert the Bruce (Braveheart).
 
You know the movie Haunting in Connecticut? Well, I recently found out that the Snedeker family, who the movie was based off of, has some sort of surprisingly close relationship to my grandma (cousins or something). It was pretty weird to when my dad told me, because we live fairly close to Southington.
 
Though we're still trying to figure out exactly how (my dads side of the family is very unclear), I'm supposed to be in the direct blood line of Jesse James, the outlaw.

Me too! But I suppose so are 100,000 other people in the world.

On my other side I'm related to vikings, one of which is named "Dragon Hammer"

Coolest name ever. Although he isn't really a celebrity (at all).
 
If anyone is related to a celebrity I'm sure they'd have mentioned it in the most world renowned smogoner thread.

My Grandfather played in the James Bond Movie A View to A Kill. He was the auctioneer! lol, not really wat ur looking for but w/e.
 
I don't know if I'm related to anyone special, but my wife is a direct descendant of "Stonewall" Jackson of U.S. Civil War fame.

Anyway, I don't think I'm related to anyone famous, though I might be. Technically, anyone who doesn't know if they are might be.

And umm I'm not related to anyone famous but by cousin is famous to some soccer player idk his name though.
 
I have to say, I'm pretty amused reading this thread. First off, where the hell is the proof? Oh, did I say that I'm the cousin of Bill Gates? I'm also directly related to Ted Bundy. Secondly, how did you guys find this stuff out (aside the mentioned "my grandma told me one day" story)? It seems hard to believe people know for sure. Sorry if I'm sounding like a prick, but a lot of this seems ....fishy. Anyways, I'm not related to anyone "famous" but my Great Grandfather and my Great Uncle were both awared engineers at the University of Notre Dame. They're both on some special plaque-riddled "Notre Dame Hall of Fame".
 
my great uncle gus designed all of the drawfs in snow white. he may have designed some other things but yeah, i think thats extremely cool.
 
My great uncle Gus used to impersonate doctors and went around "working" at major hospitals back when you could still pull off that sort of thing.

Then he moved to Australia.

You make a good point. I'm sure at least one person has lied on this thread so far, if not more. It's not like it matters, anyway. Unless the celebrity is part of your nuclear family, you don't glean any sort of benefit from it, anyway.
 
Well, I'm sure many people lie unknowingly. My dad was really into genealogy when I was a kid and did a ton of work. But even though he tried as hard as he could, it doesn't mean the records were perfect. He followed his father's line back to Robert the Bruce, (and also to the first king of Scots) but that doesn't mean I am actually related, someone could have messed up somewhere along the line.

The same goes for anyone who isn't related directly to any one else (as Euthanasia pretty much already said).

Yeah everybody at my school who likes soccer is a fan of his. I don't watch soccer and don't know much about it I've also never meet him. My older brother has meet him however like years back as well as training with Ken Shamrock, but the Shamrock thing is another story since his not family.
