As shown in the replay here, Raquaza and Marshadow are the best attackers on your team.
One of the first Pokemon is - Octillery. I have chosen Octillery as its ability 'moody' allows it to gain 2 levels in 1 stat, while losing 1 level in another stat. This can be useful at times however sometimes it might not be as useful. This is because you could have your accuracy lowered and not be able to land any attacks, ect. Octillery holds the item 'Chesto Berry'. This is used to wake it up if asleep. One of Octillery's moves are
Protect - This is mainly used to protect you from attacks while gaining some stat boosts. However, protect doesn't always work and your stats might not go up the way you want them to.
Substitute - This is used to create a substitute that takes damage for you, depending on how effective the attacks are, the substitute can withstand multiple attacks. But to use substitute, it takes up 1/4 of your hp (25%)
Hydro Pump - This is the only attacking move that Octillery has learnt. It isn't the best move but it can be useful when your stats have been boosted.
Rest - It's used to recover all of its hp and cure all status conditions. However, it will make you unable to move for a few turns. Octillery is mostly used to gain huge stat boosts and to stall the match. Octillery can sweep and can also get one-hit, so watch out.
The second Pokemon is - Kyogre. Kyogre has the ability Drizzle which causes rain. Rain makes water type attacking moves stronger making it easier to eliminate other Pokemon. Kyogre is using the item ‘Blue Orb.’ This is used to revert Kyogre to its Primal state. Kyogre’s moves are:
Calm Mind- used to raise Sp atk and atk by 1
Origin Pulse- very powerful attack with 85% accuracy. Hits all adjacent opponents.
Thunder- 70% accuracy, but with Kyogre's drizzle it makes the accuracy 100%.
Ice Beam- An ice type move that has a 10% to freeze the target.
Altogether, kyogre is not a pokemon you should normally need to rely on. However, it can be very useful depending on the pokemon types you're against.
However, you should watch out using kyogre when your opponent switches in Groudon because Groudon's ability is Drought and will block your water type move.
Next up is - Rayquaza-Mega. Rayquaza’s ability is Air Lock. This stops all weather effects. However when you mega evolve Rayquaza, its ability will be Delta Stream. This affects weather and eliminates all of the Flying type's weaknesses. Rayquaza is holding the item Life Orb. This makes Rayquaza do ×1.3 damage however after each attack, loses 1/10 hp. Rayquaza’s moves are:
Dragon Dance - This raises Rayquaza’s attack and speed by 1.
Dragon Ascent - A powerful move that has 120 attack power and has 100% accuracy. However when this move is used, the defence and sp defence is lowered by 1.
Air Slash - 75 attack power, 95% accuracy, it has a 30% chance to make the opponent flinch
Aqua Tail - This move has 90 attack power and 90% accuracy, no additional effects. In my opinion, Rayquaza is the most powerful in the team, this is because you can 1 hit most of the opposing team using Dragon Ascent.
The next pokemon is Blaziken. Blazikens ability is Speed Boost, this raises Blazikens speed by 1 stage each turn. Blaziken is holding the item Focus Sash, as long as Blazikens health is 100%, this will make sure Blaziken can not be Killed with one hit. The moves Blaziken has are:
Substitute - This is used to create a substitute that takes damage for you, depending on how effective the attacks are, the substitute can withstand multiple attacks. But to use substitute, it takes up 1/4 of your hp (25%).
Protect - This is mainly used to protect you from attacks while gaining a speed boost, along with substitute, you can stall the match while waiting for your stats to go up.
Baton Pass - Switches out Blaziken to a different pokemon of your choice, also passes your stat changes and substitute to the pokemon of your choice.
Flare Blitz - Blazikens only attacking move. It is a very powerful move but has 33% recoil damage.
Blaziken should stall to get speed up and baton pass to Rayquaza to 1 hit every pokemon. Blaziken can be very useful and can change the whole match.
Second to last is Marshadow, he is holding the z-move Marshadium Z, this will deal lots of damage against the other opponent. It’s ability is Technician. This Fight and Ghost type Pokemon is an incredibly important part of the team. It's powerful Ghost type moves can easily take on many different pokemon. Marshadow’s moves are:
Spectral Thief - A move with 90 power, steals other pokemons stat changes before dealing damage
Close Combat - A powerful move that will lower Marshadows def and sp. def
Focus Punch - Marshadows most powerful move but will not work if damage is taken before it hits.
Shadow Sneak - A move that usually goes first and has 40 attack power.
Overall, most would also agree that Marshadow has a very useful role in this team. Without Marshadow, this team will not do as well.
The Final pokemon in this team is Groudon. The item Groudon is holding is Red Orb, this reverts Groudon to its primal state. Groudon’s ability is Drought. On switch-in, this ability summons Sunny Day. Groudon’s moves are:
Dragon Tail - This move always goes last but deals damage and switches out the opponent’s pokemon to a different pokemon.
Precipice Blades - A very powerful move that has 120 attack power but doesn't always hit, damages all adjacent foes.
Fire Punch - 75 attack power, 10% chance to burn target.
Rock Tomb - A move with 60 attack power that will lower the opponents speed by 1 stage.
Groudon is an all-round good addition to the team and can take on a couple of opponents. For groudon to be most effective against a kyogre, switch in when kyogre is in the match.
