- Coil is one of the best setup moves in the game, giving you a boost to both attack and defense, alongside a handy accuracy boost. This set centres around it
- Gunk shot is arboks strongest STAB, with a massive 120 base power and a fair chance of poisoning
- Sucker Punch is Arboks only form for priority and hits opposing psychics (especially Kadabra) for super effective damage
- Earthquake hits the steel and rock types who resist/are immune to Gunk shot without being forced to play Sucker Punch games
- Seed bomb on the other hand hits ground, rock and water types. it is especially usefull for dealing with the many quak weaks to grass in the tier, notably Golem, Carracosta and Piloswine.
Set Details

- 80 EVs in speed allows you to outspeed Adamant Ramparados
- 252 EVs in attack to ensure as much offensive pressurea as possible
- 176 EVs in HP to to further your bulk and make to more difficult to KO
- Black sludge is used to give you reliably recovery, and is prefered over leftovers because fo how it makes certain pokemon think twice about using trick/Switcheroo.
Usage Tips
========
- Send arbok against physcial attackers that have non-super effective STABs like Throh and Scarf Scyther to force them out mid-late-game, from there you set up and sweep
- Make sure pokemon which can burn you are out of the way before you try to set up (Ninetales, Misdreavius etc)
- keep it away from strong special attackers like Regice or Rotom-F
Team Options
========
- LO Sneasel makes a perfect offensive partner for Arbok, being able to deal with psychics and Misdreavus alongside wearing down the opposing team with Knock off.
- As Arbok relies a lot on Sucker punch, it should be noted that any form of hazard stacking helps tremedusly. Metang Is a great example, as it not only can set up SR for Arbok, but at the same time hard-walls almost every psychic in the tier with ease.

- Posion Jab on the other hand, is a decent powered STAB which a lot more PP and the same chance to poison. it is a valid choice if you plan on setting up over a longer period.
- Earthquake hits the steel and rock types who resist/are immune to Gunk shot without being forced to play Sucker Punch games
- Seed bomb on the other hand hits ground, rock and water types. it is especially usefull for dealing with the many quak weaks to grass in the tier, notably Golem, Carracosta and Piloswine
- Sleep talk is finally only to be used with intiminate > Shed skin, an gives you a semi CroBok
