Arcanine serves as a niche defensive pivot and decent check to sun teams while being a strong answer to Swords Dance Cobalion and Doublade. However, it faces stiff competition from Incineroar. Incineroar's Dark typing and access to STAB Knock Off lets it remove Leftovers from defensive answers like Milotic, as well as switch into and threaten Chandelure, which otherwise comes in on Arcanine easily. Nonetheless, Arcanine's higher Speed stat allows it to outrun Pokemon like Machamp, Pangoro, and Sirfetch'd, all of which heavily pressure Incineroar, while its pure Fire typing and access to semi-reliable recovery with Morning Sun allows it to check Sylveon, Escavalier, Darmanitan, and Doublade more reliably. Arcanine also has a way to pivot out on would-be checks like Chandelure and Rotom-W with Teleport. Flamethrower is a recoil-free way to threaten Cobalion, Doublade, and Galarian Weezing harder than Flare Blitz, while Flare Blitz is useful to 2HKO Choice Specs Sylveon, Gardevoir, and specially defensive Bronzong. Toxic allows Arcanine to cripple checks like Noivern, Chandelure, and Rotom-W while also letting it beat defensive Sylveon one-on-one. Alternatively, Will-O-Wisp allow Arcanine to cripple powerful wallbreakers like Pangoro and Haxorus lacking Lum Berry. The above EV spread maximizes Arcanine's physical bulk in order for it to properly check Cobalion, Darmanitan, Doublade, and other physical attackers while allowing it to outrun Machamp and Sirfetch'd. A specially defensive EV spread can be run that allows Arcanine to check Choice Specs Sylveon easier and act as a solid pivot into Noivern at the cost of being a shakier check to the aforementioned physical attackers.

Arcanine fits best on balance teams that need a soft check to sun teams as well as a good answer to Cobalion, Doublade, and Escavalier. Morning Sun's low PP and decreased effectiveness in Gigalith's Sandstorm means that Arcanine is easily worn down, so Wish support is extremely important. Both Sylveon and Umbreon are great clerics that also keep Arcanine free of status from Pokemon it normally checks like Thunder Wave from Cobalion. Sylveon also helps check Flygon, Rotom-W, and Haxorus for Arcanine, while Umbreon reliably checks Celebi, Chandelure, and Polteageist. Bulky Water-types like Milotic and Vaporeon check Chandelure and Inteleon, as well as share the burden of checking Darmanitan and Escavalier who both risk wearing Arcanine down due to Morning Sun's low PP. Powerful wallbreakers like Toxtricity and Machamp appreciate Arcanine's ability to bring them in safely with Teleport. Toxtricity takes advantage of Pokemon like Milotic and Rotom-W that Arcanine lures in, while Machamp can switch into Scald from bulky Water-types with Guts and heavily pressure bulky Rock-types like Gigalith and Rhyperior. Roserade is also a great partner that absorbs status for Arcanine and appreciates Arcanine's ability to force out Escavalier. Entry hazard removal is also extremely important, since Arcanine is likely to lose its item when checking Escavalier or Incineroar; both Rotom-W and Tsareena are useful teammates for hazard control. Since Arcanine hates losing its item, Pokemon that can switch into Knock Off like Sylveon and Cobalion are also great teammates.

Arcanine serves as a niche defensive pivot and strong check to sun teams i'd be careful about calling it a "strong check" to sun teams, darm can 2hko you without def invests and venu can kill you at +2 without much chip, but faces stiff competition from Incineroar due to Incineroar's access to Dark typing and access to STAB Knock Off. Nonetheless, Arcanine's higher speed allows it to outrun Pokemon like Jolly nature's irrelevant in this case Machamp, Pangoro, and Sirfetch'd which heavily pressure Incineroar, while its pure Fire typing allows it to check Sylveon more reliably. Furthermore, Arcanine possesses semi-reliable recovery with Morning Sun and guaranteed momentum with a minimum-priority Teleport. Flamethrower is a recoil-free way to threaten Cobalion, Doublade, and Weezing-Galar harder than Flare Blitz, while Flare Blitz is useful to 2HKO Choice Specs Sylveon, Gardevoir, and specially defensive Bronzong. Toxic allows Arcanine to cripple checks like Noivern and Rotom-W, while also letting it beat defensive Sylveon lacking heal bell you beat it regardless, you have more toxics than it has heal bells 1-on-1. Alternatively, Will-O-Wisp allows Arcanine to cripple powerful wallbreakers like Pangoro and Haxorus lacking a Lum Berry, allowing Arcanine to check them easier. Teleport grants guaranteed switch initiative due to its minimum priority, allowing Arcanine to pivot out on would-be checks like Milotic and Rotom-Wash. The above EV spread maximizes Arcanine's special bulk in order for it to properly check Venusaur and Sylveon, while allowing it to outrun Machamp and Sirfetch'd.

This Arcanine set fits best on balanced teams that need a strong check to sun teams and Venusaur specifically dont wanna repeat but it's a p mediocre venu check, be careful with that. Passive Pokemon like Umbreon, Sylveon, and Bronzong that sun teams take advantage of appreciate Arcanine's ability to hard-check Venusaur dunno how I feel about the umbreon mention, venu doesn't really take advantage of it bc foul play does so much after a growth. Powerful wallbreakers like Toxtricity and Machamp appreciate Arcanine's ability to bring them in safely with Teleport. Toxtricity takes advantage of Pokemon like Milotic and Rotom-Wash that Arcanine lures in, while Machamp heavily pressures bulky rock types like Gigalith and Rhyperior that check Arcanine. you can mention machamp also taking advantage of fat waters bc it doesn't rlly care about scald. mention roserade here too, it beats most of arc's checks and loves that arc deletes escav/weakens zong for it As Morning Sun is a underwhelming recovery move due to its decreased effectiveness in Sand and low PP, wish support is extremely important for Arcanine to remain healthy. Arcanine is also vulnerable to status from Pokemon it normally checks like Thunder Wave from Cobalion and Sleep Powder from Roserade is it really a rose check? sludge bomb can 2hko and it's guaranteed if it poisons you on the first one. Both Sylveon and Vaporeon are great clerics that can keep Arcanine free of status and keep it healthy with wish passing. Pokemon that can absorb Knock Off from Pokemon like Incineroar and Escavalier are also good teammates since without its Heavy-Duty Boots, Arcanine is worn down extremely easily. Weezing-Galar is an example that also helps check Gigalith and Rhyperior. it eats dark moves sure, but weezing isn't really a knock absorber - typically it's your fairy so you're not running it on a team w/ sylveon (so no wish support), and not having recovery on your weezing sucks. mention sylveon again here and, like, cobalion, which should get a mention regardless for its ability to abuse gigalith so that morning sun doesn't suck

Arcanine serves as a niche defensive pivot and strong check to sun teams i'd be careful about calling it a "strong check" to sun teams, darm can 2hko you without def invests and venu can kill you at +2 without much chip, to add onto this point, i'd talk about how its like the most consistent answer to specs sylveon we have in the tier atm. but faces stiff competition from Incineroar due to Incineroar's access to Dark typing and access to STAB Knock Off. Elaborate more on this, this is especially important becuase Arcanine lets in Chandelure pretty freely while Incineroar is a good check to it instead Nonetheless, Arcanine's higher speed allows it to outrun Pokemon like Jolly nature's irrelevant in this case Machamp, Pangoro, and Sirfetch'd which heavily pressure Incineroar, while its pure Fire typing allows it to check Sylveon more reliably. Move this Sylveon mention up to the start as said because this is a big part of its niche atm. Furthermore, Arcanine possesses semi-reliable recovery with Morning Sun you should briefly comment on how the commonness of Gigalith is an issue for it because of this however and guaranteed momentum with a minimum-priority Teleport. Talk about some of the targets you want to Teleport against specifically, like Chandelure and Washtom.

Also comment on how this semi reliable recovery, and pure Fire-typing lets it better check Pokemon like Doublade and Escavalier than Incineroar does.

Flamethrower is a recoil-free way to threaten Cobalion, Doublade, and Weezing-Galar harder than Flare Blitz, while Flare Blitz is useful to 2HKO Choice Specs Sylveon, Gardevoir, and specially defensive Bronzong. Toxic allows Arcanine to cripple checks like Noivern and Rotom-W, mention that it hits Chandy too while also letting it beat defensive Sylveon lacking heal bell you beat it regardless, you have more toxics than it has heal bells 1-on-1. No need to talk about Teleport twice since this is already fairly long The above EV spread maximizes Arcanine's special bulk in order for it to properly check Venusaur and Sylveon, while allowing it to outrun Machamp and Sirfetch'd.

Mention Phys Def spreads too, to let it better check Darmanitan and Cobalion, at the cost of not dealing with Specs Sylv so well. (You can briefly comment that it pivots into Garde better too because psyshock is only a 35% chance to 2HKO phys def but will do like 60-70% dmg to spdef)

This Arcanine set fits best on balanced teams that need a strong check to sun teams and Venusaur specifically dont wanna repeat but it's a p mediocre venu check, be careful with that. Agree, this talks far too positively about its ability to check Venu. You should definitely mention how teams that need a strong check to Specs Sylveon and Escavalier instead, and instead just mention that it can act as a soft check to sun teams. Yea Umbreon will win the 1v1 if venu tries to set up on it, and Sylveon can just Mfire you in the sun. Arcanine has to basically be at full to check Venu too.

Like these three mentions are fine as team options, but you should find some other reasoning to talk about them and move them down a bit, eg. Umbreon providing Chandy check, cleric support, and a Dark-typing you lost from using Arcanine not Incineroar.

Go put the Sylveon and Umbreon mentions down in this section, since you currently dont mention anything here . Arcanine is also vulnerable to status from Pokemon it normally checks like Thunder Wave from Cobalion and Sleep Powder from Roserade is it really a rose check? sludge bomb can 2hko and it's guaranteed if it poisons you on the first one. I'd say its fine to talk about it being an offensive check, but you should definitely be explicit that its not a good switch-in. Both Sylveon and Vaporeon are great clerics that can keep Arcanine free of status and keep it healthy with wish passing. Move this up to your wish passing comment. Pokemon that can absorb Knock Off from Pokemon like Incineroar and Escavalier are also good teammates since without its Heavy-Duty Boots, Arcanine is worn down extremely easily. No, Arcanine is a fantastic Escavalier check and you will inevitably get knocked by it.

Change the focus of this point, to mentioning how Arcanine has a propensity to get its boots Knocked Off by pokemon it checks like Escavalier and Incineroar, and then mention some entry hazard removers that pair well with Arcanine that can help support it by keeping rocks off for it in these matchups.

Weezing-Galar is an example that also helps check Gigalith and Rhyperior. it eats dark moves sure, but weezing isn't really a knock absorber - typically it's your fairy so you're not running it on a team w/ sylveon (so no wish support), and not having recovery on your weezing sucks. also, a lot of Gigalith's and some Rhyperior's are running Heavy Slam for Sylveon atm anyway which Weezing absolutely hates. mention sylveon again here and, like, cobalion, which should get a mention regardless for its ability to abuse gigalith so that morning sun doesn't suck

going over Lilburr's AM check here, my comments are in Green. Nice job on this Lily, the points you have brought up are all good, as Viv said just try and dig a bit deeper with your checks to pick up more stuff. Lemme know on Disc if you have any questions, this check seems promising!

Panther-T please tag me after you have implemented so I can have another look before stamping due to size of the two checks combined. Implement anything from Lily's check that I haven't commented on (if you haven't already done so before).

Arcanine serves as a niche defensive pivot and decent check to sun teams while being one of the tier's few consistent answers to Choice Specs Sylveon, but faces stiff competition from Incineroar. Incineroar's Dark typing and access to STAB Knock Off lets it remove Leftovers from defensive answers like Milotic and threaten Chandelure, who otherwise switches in on Arcanine easily. Nonetheless, Arcanine's higher speed allow it to outrun Pokemon like Machamp, Pangoro, and Sirfetch'd which heavily pressure Incineroar, while its pure Fire typing allow it to check Sylveon, Escavalier, and Doublade more reliably. link this into the semi reliable recovery bit because its the main reason its such a good check to them Furthermore, Arcanine possesses semi-reliable recovery with Morning Sun, although Gigalith's popularity heavily hampers this, and a way to pivot out on would-be checks like Chandelure and Rotom-W with Teleport. Flamethrower is a recoil-free way to threaten Cobalion, Doublade, and Weezing-Galar harder than Flare Blitz, while Flare Blitz is useful to 2HKO Choice Specs Sylveon, Gardevoir, and specially defensive Bronzong. Toxic allow Arcanine to cripple checks like Noivern, Chandelure, and Rotom-W, while also letting it beat defensive Sylveon 1-on-1. Alternatively, Will-O-Wisp allow Arcanine to cripple powerful wallbreakers like Pangoro and Haxorus lacking a Lum Berry. The above EV spread maximizes Arcanine's special bulk in order for it to properly check Sylveon, while allowing it to outrun Machamp and Sirfetch'd. A physically defensive EV spread can be run that allows Arcanine to pivot into Choice Specs Gardevoir with Psyshock, Cobalion, and Darmanitan more reliably at the cost of reliably checking Sylveon. switch around these mentions for phys def to be the main spread, and then mention that spdef can be used to act as a more reliable specs sylveon check and a good noivern pivot.

This Arcanine set fits best on balanced teams that need a soft check to sun teams as well as a reliable answer to Escavalier and Choice Specs Sylveon. As Morning Sun is an underwhelming recovery move due to its decreased effectiveness in Sand and low PP, wish support is extremely important for Arcanine to remain healthy. Both Sylveon and Umbreon are great clerics that provide wish support and keep Arcanine free of status from Pokemon it normally checks like Thunder Wave from Cobalion. Sylveon also helps check Flygon and Rotom-W for Arcanine can mention it checking Haxorus here too, while Umbreon reliably checks Nasty Plot Celebi no need to specify NP here, LO 3 attacks recover is just a big a threat to arcanine and Chandelure. mention poltea, this is particularly important here because you aren't using incin with rk9 Powerful wallbreakers like Toxtricity and Machamp appreciate Arcanine's ability to bring them in safely with Teleport. Toxtricity takes advantage of Pokemon like Milotic and Rotom-W that Arcanine lures in, while Machamp can switch into bulky Water-types with Guts and heavily pressure bulky Rock-types like Gigalith and Rhyperior. Roserade is also a great partner that appreciates Arcanine's ability to force out Escavalier while checking Milotic, Rotom-W, and Rhyperior for Arcanine. Entry hazard removal is also extremely important since Arcanine is likely to lose its item when checking Escavalier or Incineroar. Rotom-W provides Defog support while checking Rhyperior and Gigalith, while Tsareena can clear hazards and serve as a strong answer to Milotic, Rotom-W, and the aforementioned bulky Rock-types. Since Arcanine hates losing its item, Pokemon that can absorb Knock Off like Sylveon and Cobalion also serve as great teammates. Cobalion in particular takes advantage of Gigalith who otherwise disrupts Arcanine's Morning Sun recovery.

Talk about some bulky waters like Milotic somewhere in this, how they can help check Inteleon and Chandy for Arcanine, and lessen the pressure on it to check Escav/Darm so that it isn't overwhelmed by low PP / sand etc.

I would rephrase to say how its low PP and decreased effectiveness in Sand lets it get easily worn down, so wish support etc. recovery move due to its decreased effectiveness in Gigalith's Sandstorm and low PP; therefore, wish support is extremely important. Both Sylveon and Umbreon are great clerics that provide wish support and keep Arcanine free of status from Pokemon it normally checks like Thunder Wave from Cobalion. This is all good but I recommend you cut down on some of this repetitive info. It's nice to inform the user X mon helps with waters (particularly Milotic + Rotom-W you mention a lot) + rock types but mentioning it every other line for every partner, more or less, is rather excessive. So I recommend you either don't go into full detail about each partner to repeat the same info or use different examples.

Nonetheless, Arcanine's higher speed Speed stat allows it to outrun Pokemon like Machamp, Pangoro, and Sirfetch'd, (AC) all of which heavily pressure Incineroar, while its pure Fire typing and access to semi-reliable recovery with Morning Sun allows it to check Sylveon, Escavalier, Darmanitan, and Doublade more reliably. Arcanine also has a way to pivot out on would-be checks like Chandelure and Rotom-W with Teleport. Flamethrower is a recoil-free way to threaten Cobalion, Doublade, and Galarian Weezing-Galar harder than Flare Blitz, while Flare Blitz is useful to 2HKO Choice Specs Sylveon, Gardevoir, and specially defensive Bronzong. Toxic allows Arcanine to cripple checks like Noivern, Chandelure, and Rotom-W, (RC) while also letting it beat defensive Sylveon 1-on-1 one-on-one. Alternatively, Will-O-Wisp allows Arcanine to cripple powerful wallbreakers like Pangoro and Haxorus lacking a Lum Berry. The above EV spread maximizes Arcanine's physical bulk in order for it to properly check Cobalion, Darmanitan, Doublade, and other physical attackers while allowing it to outrun Machamp and Sirfetch'd. A specially defensive EV spread can be run that allows Arcanine to check Choice Specs Sylveon easier and act as a solid pivot into Noivern, (RC) at the cost of being a shakier check to the aforementioned physical attackers.

This Arcanine set fits best on balanced teams that need a soft check to sun teams as well as a good answer to Cobalion, Doublade, and Escavalier. Morning Sun's low PP and decreased effectiveness in Gigalith's Sandstorm means that Arcanine is easily worn down, so wish Wish support is extremely important. Bulky water Water-types like Milotic and Vaporeon check Chandelure and Inteleon, (RC) as well as share the burden of checking Darmanitan and Escavalier, (RC) who which otherwise risks wearing Arcanine down due to Morning Sun's low PP. Powerful wallbreakers like Toxtricity and Machamp appreciate Arcanine's ability to bring them in safely with Teleport. Toxtricity takes advantage of Pokemon like Milotic and Rotom-W that Arcanine lures in, while Machamp can switch into bulky Water-types with Guts (not sure what guts has to do with switching into water-types, does it have to do with switching into scald? if so then clarify that) and heavily pressure bulky Rock-types like Gigalith and Rhyperior. Roserade is also a great partner that absorbs status for Arcanine and appreciates Arcanine's ability to force out Escavalier. Entry hazard removal is also extremely important, (AC) since Arcanine is likely to lose its item when checking Escavalier or Incineroar; both Rotom-W and Tsareena are useful teammates for hazard control. Since Arcanine hates losing its item, Pokemon that can absorb switch into (or something along those lines, absorb feels awkward in that context) Knock Off like Sylveon and Cobalion are also great teammates.
