Arceus-Ghost @ Spooky Plate
Ability: Multitype
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 Spe
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Judgment
- Dragon Tail
- Recover
Spooky, scary Arceus-Ghost is here, capitalizing on its unique typing and great bulk to carve a niche and punish numerous top threats! Switching safely in against Koraidon's Fighting-type attacks, it tries to buff its already great Ghost-type Judgment further with Calm Mind, slowly turning it into a tank that can take even the strongest physical and special hits from Koraidon and Miraidon alike. Dragon Tail gives it safe contingency against most opposing Arceus formes as well as Whirlwind Ho-Oh and Ting-Lu, both of which threaten to force it off the field. Even when it hasn't set up, Arceus-Ghost acts as a soft check to many of the tier's physical wallbreakers, like Zacian-C, Calyrex-I, and Koraidon, preventing them from setting up. Arceus-Ghost is usually found on entry hazard-reliant balance teams as a way to prevent the recently rising star Iron Treads from using Rapid Spin,, and it's usually found alongside Ting-Lu or Ribombee to provide a bulky backbone for wallbreakers such as Miraidon, Kyogre, and Koraidon.
