VGC Archaludon

[OVERVIEW]

* Archaludon can utilize its above-average bulk, solid Special Attack stat, and great Ability in Stamina to check and OHKO threats such as Urshifu-R, Incineroar, and Raging Bolt.

* Archaludon's access to Stamina and Body Press combined with its resistances and great physical bulk make it an amazing check to Pokemon such as Rillaboom and the Ogerpon formes and also allow it to act as a wincon.

* Archaludon appreciates teammates like Amoonguss and Sinistcha that provide it with recovery through Pollen Puff and Hospitality, as well as Rage Powder for redirection. Rillaboom provides Fake Out support, as well as passive healing through Grassy Terrain and priority with Grassy Glide that discourages the opponent from leading with Urshifu-R. Dual screens from Grimmsnarl and damage reduction from Incineroar's Intimidate or Snarl are also useful for keeping Archaludon alive to stack Stamina or Electro Shot stat increases.

* Archaludon fits well on rain teams thanks to its Grass and Electric resistances. It appreciates teammates such as Pelipper that can check opposing Ground- and Fighting-types like Landorus and both Urshifu formes; Pelipper's rain support also allows Electro Shot to charge in one turn, OHKOing Urshifu-R and Tornadus. Archaludon also functions well on Trick Room teams due to many of its checks being faster than it, such as both Urshifu formes, Landorus, and Chien-Pao running Sacred Sword. Farigiraf pairs notably well with Archaludon on Trick Room teams due to the protection from priority it provides and its access to Psychic Noise, which disables Iron Hands's Drain Punch.

[SET]
Rain Sweeper (Archaludon) @ Assault Vest
Level: 50
Ability: Stamina
EVs: 252 HP / 28 Def / 36 SpA / 164 SpD / 28 Spe
Tera Type: Grass / Fairy
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Flash Cannon
- Electro Shot
- Body Press

[SET COMMENTS]
* Archaludon's Defense EVs allow it to survive Adamant Choice Scarf Urshifu-R's and Urshifu-S's Close Combat, meaning it can take a hit, boost itself with Electro Shot, and OHKO Urshifu-R on the same turn, provided rain is currently active. The Special Defense investment prevents it from being 2HKOed by Special Attack Booster Energy Flutter Mane's Moonblast.

* Archaludon does not particularly require Special Attack investment thanks to Electro Shot boosting this stat, but 36 Special Attack EVs with a Modest nature give Archaludon an extra point in Special Attack because of how stat calculation works.

* 28 Speed EVs are to outspeed Choice Scarf Urshifu-R, Urshifu-S and Landorus when Archaludon is under Tailwind.

* Draco Meteor and Electro Shot OHKO Pokemon such as Raging Bolt, Urshifu-R, and Tornadus. Flash Cannon OHKOes Flutter Mane after one Electro Shot boost, and Body Press is good to threaten an OHKO on Chien-Pao, and significant damage on Incineroar, especially after a Stamina boost.

* Tera Grass gives Archaludon a resistance to Ground-type moves such as Landorus's Sandsear Storm and Earth Power, and immunity to Spore and Rage Powder. Meanwhile, Tera Fairy gives it a Fighting resistance and Dragon immunity to beat Urshifu and opposing Dragon-types respectively.

The content on this is very good! It's just a little too wordy at most points so I tried fixing that. Let me know once you implement this and I'll give it another look.
[OVERVIEW]

* Archaludon is a bulky (you mention this later) Steel-Dragon type Pokemon (dex info) that is able to utilize it's its above-average bulk, solid Special Attack stat, burst damage options (you don't really need this imo, it makes the point longer), and great Abilities in Stamina and Stalwart to check and OHKO threats such as Urshifu-R, Incineroar, and Raging Bolt.

* Archaludon's access to Stamina and Body Press makes it an amazing check to Pokemon such as Rillaboom and the Ogerpon formes due to it's its resistances and great physical bulk, as well as act as a secondary win-condition for the team in itself.

* Archaludon appreciates teammates that provide damage reduction, health recovery, or speed control, based on needs and team structure. (this goes for any Pokemon) like Amoonguss and Sinistcha which provide it with recovery through Pollen Puff and Hospitality respectively, as well as Rage Powder for redirection. Rillaboom provides Fake Out support, as well as passive healing through Grassy Terrain and priority attacks with Grassy Glide that discourages leading with Urshifu-R and Tornadus. (Bleakwind Storm, plus Urshifu is the bigger threat to Arch.) Dual screens, Aurora Veil (Archaludon isn't used on Snow) and damage reduction from Intimidate or Snarl via Incineroar are also useful for keeping Archaludon alive to stack Stamina and/or Electro Shot stat increases.

* Archaludon goes well on rain teams due thanks to it's its Grass and Electric resistance,. It appreciates teammates such as Pelipper that can check opposing Ground and Fighting types like Landorus and both Urshifu formes such as Pelipper, and allowing Electro Shot to charge in one turn and OHKO Electric-weak threats such as opposing, OHKOing Urshifu-R and Tornadus. Archaludon also functions in on bulky (they are bulky by default) Trick Room teams due to many of it's its checks and threats (fluffy) being faster than it, such as both Urshifu formes, Landorus, and Chien-Pao running Sacred Sword. Farigiraf pairs notably well with Archaludon on Trick Room teams due to priority protection, and access to Psychic Noise, which disables Iron Hands' Drain Punch, simultaneously boosting itself with Throat Spray. (very good point!)

[SET COMMENTS]

* Archaludon's has enough EVs to live 156+ Attack Defense EVs allow it to survive Adamant Choice Scarf Urshifu's Close Combat, and the Special Defense investment lets it take two Special Attack Boosting Flutter Mane Moonblasts, allowing it to boost itself with Electroshot Electro Shot and OHKO Urshifu-R on the same turn, and Flutter Mane on the next (not sure this is important but you're free to keep it if you want), provided rain is currently active.

* Archaludon does not particularly require Special Attack investment thanks to Electro Shot boosting it; 36 Special Attack EVs are to bump the stat, and don't need to be heavily invested in due to Electro Shot boosting it's Special Attack stat. 28 Speed EVs are to outspeed Choice Scarf Urshifu and Landorus after a when Archaludon is under Tailwind. (I suggest moving this into its own point)

* Draco Meteor and Electro Shot serve as burst damage to OHKO Pokemon such as Raging Bolt, Urshifu-R, and Tornadus, respectively. Flash Cannon is a solid STAB option to OHKOes Flutter Mane after one Electro Shot boost, and Body Press is good to hit Pokemon such as Chien-Pao and Incineroar for significant damage, especially after a Stamina boost. (Body Press OHKOes Chien-Pao so you may want to reword this)

* Tera Grass and Tera Fairy allow it to lose it's its Ground and Fighting weakness respectively, with Tera Grass providing resistance to Urshifu-R's Surging Strikes (it already resists this) and Landorus's Sandsear Storm and Earth Power, and a new immunity to Spore and Rage Powder. Meanwhile, Tera Fairy gives it a new Dark Fighting resistance and Dragon immunity to beat Urshifu-S and opposing Dragon-types respectively. Types threatened by Draco Meteor.

Hi! Thank you so much for the speedy reply. I've done my best to make the changes you've suggested, and I hope it's overall better! I apologize for the word mush and certain errors such as talking about formes. I originally wanted to refer to both Urshifu forms as 'the Urshifu Formes' but forgot to add it in after amending some of the text during the initial write-up, and I hope that in the future my analysis is a little more clean.

I'm glad the content was sufficient, at least! :bellipog:

- A "win condition" is a circumstance in which a game can be won, whereas a "wincon" is a Pokemon whose objective is to win a game.
- "Which" clauses introduce non-essential information and are set aside by a comma/pair of commas. "That" clauses introduce essential information and are not set aside by commas.
-The word "respectively" is always set aside from the rest of the sentence with a pair of commas (or single comma if it's at the end). That said, respectively isn't really needed here, as it's not actually clarifying anything (Amoonguss doesn't have Hospitality, and Sinistcha can't learn Pollen Puff).
- You can replace instances of "and/or" with one of these conjunctions.
- Having a comma/pair of commas setting apart some parenthetical information is fine (regarding the first EVs bullet).
- OHKOes = verb, and OHKOs = noun (so it's "[move] OHKOes [Pokemon]").
- The Flash Cannon and Electro Shot sentence was fine not being split; it's not that long.
- The bullet about Tera types is just talking about both types at the same time rather than saying Archaludon is using both at once, so leaving it as "and" would've been fine. That said, the first part is mainly just filler/repeating what is said later in the bullet and can be removed.
- Remember that coordinating conjunctions (such as "and") are only preceded by a comma when they connect two independent clauses, which "a new immunity to Spore and Rage Powder" is not.
