LC Archen [LC]

Archen @ Eviolite
Ability: Defeatist
Level: 5
EVs: 180 Atk / 76 Def / 196 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Dual Wingbeat
- Earthquake
- Roost

Reviving the Little Cup metagame, Archen finds itself as a strong physical attacker with a Speed tier of 17, decent coverage options, and reliable recovery in Roost. Its STAB combination is quite potent, as Stone Edge and Dual Wingbeat are able to threaten prevalent Pokemon in the tier such as Vullaby, Mienfoo, and Foongus. Earthquake allows Archen to nail Pokemon such as Pawniard, Mareanie, and Onix. Due to its ability in Defeatist, it is best to pair Archen with entry hazard removers such as Timburr, Vullaby, and Staryu, as they are able to keep Stealth Rock off the field. Teammates such as Foongus and Ferroseed are able to switch into Pokemon that threaten Archen such as Staryu and Grookey.

Reviving the Little Cup metagame, Archen finds itself as a strong physical attacker with great good 17-speed tier (17 isn't exactly great) and decent coverage options. (I would add the section about Roost in the first line; something like "access to reliable recovery in Roost") Stone Edge OHKO's Pokemon such as Vullaby, and Ponyta. Dual Wingbeat is able to threaten the most common Pokemon in the tier such as Mienfoo, Timburr, Scraggy, and Foongus. (Could prolly condense the two STABs into a single sentence; mention that its STAB combination is quite potent and hits a lot of the prevalent mons like Vullaby, Mienfoo, and Foongus) Earthquake allows Archen to nail Pokemon such as Pawniard, Mareanie, and Magnemite Onix. (More common) Due to its ability in Defeatist, it is best to pair Archen with Defoggers such as Timburr and Vullaby as they are reliable at keeping Stealth Rock off the field. (Generalize this to entry hazard removal and mention Staryu also) Archen is able to pressure opponents more via Knock Off support from partners like Mienfoo and Pawniard, in addition to being able to have sustainability and stay healthy via Roost. Teammates such as Foongus and Ferroseeed are able to switch into Pokemon which threaten Archen such as Staryu, Corphish, and Onix. (Grookey is a better mention than Corphish and Onix)

Should be good to go afterwards, 1/1!
