[OVERVIEW]

Arctovish is a threatening hail sweeper thanks to the combination of Fishious Rend's tremendous power, solid coverage, and Slush Rush allowing it to outspeed the entire unboosted tier. Arctovish also sports decent bulk for a wallbreaker, allowing it to take advantage of walls such as Palossand. However, Arctovish is over-reliant on Fishious Rend to wallbreak thanks to only having base 90 Attack, so Water-immune Pokemon such as Jellicent, Vaporeon, and Heliolisk can take advantage of it. Arctovish’s Ice typing can also work against it at times, as it negates resistances against Fire- and Steel-type attacks and brings increased damage from switching into Stealth Rock. Arctovish is also dependent on hail being up to wallbreak, both for Slush Rush and correspondingly Fishious Rend's power, so Pokemon such as Gigalith and dedicated weather setters such as Liepard indirectly hamper it.
[SET]
name: Wallbreaker
move 1: Fishious Rend
move 2: Icicle Crash
move 3: Psychic Fangs
move 4: Crunch / Freeze-Dry
item: Choice Band / Life Orb
ability: Slush Rush
nature: Adamant / Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]
Psychic Fangs OHKOes Toxicroak, which would normally come in on Fishious Rend for free, and does neutral damage to Vaporeon. Crunch nets a 2HKO on non-Colbur Berry Jellicent after Stealth Rock damage. Freeze-Dry is another option to hit the aforementioned Water-types super effectively and chip at them. If Freeze-Dry is chosen, Life Orb should be used over Choice Band, and a Lonely or Hasty nature should be used instead. An Adamant nature is preferred to maximize Arctovish’s wallbreaking prowess, but a Jolly nature can be used to outspeed common Choice Scarf users such as Passimian and Braviary under hail.
Hail setters such as Aurorus, Vanilluxe, and Abomasnow are crucial to Arctovish’s success. Alolan Sandslash pairs quite nicely with Arctovish, as the former checks Grass- and Electric-types while the latter takes care of Fire- and Ground-types, and both can also wallbreak for each other, as they have similar answers. Outside of hail setters and users, Pokemon such as Mesprit and Charizard are good options, as each of them handle one of Arctovish’s weaknesses, and Pokemon such as Heliolisk, Virizion, and Vikavolt that handles Pokemon immune to Water also work well with Arctovish.
