Arctozolt @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Leftovers
Ability: Slush Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Bolt Beak
- Freeze-Dry
- Low Kick
- Substitute

[SET COMMENTS]

Arctozolt anchors dedicated snow teams by providing them with a fearsome Mixed-Attacking wallbreaker thanks to its BoltBeam coverage and a cleaner by virtue of its Speed under snow. Bolt Beak, Arctozolt's main STAB-move, can achieve impressive feats such as 2HKOing defensive Clefable. However, Arctozolt's viability is tied to Snow, making its niche as a breaker highly specific. Freeze-Dry completes the BoltBeam coverage by allowing it to hit Ground- and Grass-types like Gastrodon, Swampert, Hydrapple, and Tapu Bulu super-effectively. Low Kick allows Arctozolt to dish out significant damage to Mega Tyrannitar and Ting-Lu, which can otherwise withstand its STAB moves. Substitute allows Arctozolt to punish defensive switches or attempts to status it such as with Mega Venusaur's Leech Seed. Heavy-Duty Boots is preferred to avoid entry hazard chip damage, while Leftovers is an option that synergises with Substitute and allows Arctozolt to punish defensive switches. Naive Nature ensures maximum damage output on both sides of the spectrum while also ensuring Arctozolt outspeeds threats such as Excadrill, Scarf Rotom-W, and +2 Celesteela under snow. Since Arctozolt's viability is exclusively tied to snow, Slowking is an essential partner for it, and with Chilly Reception it sets up snow and offers a slow pivot to Arctozolt that ensures Arctozolt takes as little damage as possible. Slowking provides additional insurance for Arctozolt by pivoting into revenge killers like Speed-boosting Iron Moth, and its access to Future Sight dissuades answers such as Buzzwole and Mega Venusaur from switching in freely. While Tyranitar and Hippowdon don't enjoy switching in on Arctozolt, they can disrupt Arctozolt's sweeps by resetting the weather and denying Arctozolt a speed boost. Partners that can wear these Pokemon down such as Iron Moth and Swords Dance Aegislash thus make excellent partners for Arctozolt. Arctozolt is vulnerable to being revenge killed by faster offensive threats such as Scarf Hydreigon and Scarf Galarian Zapdos, having teammates that can pivot into these Pokemon such as Clefable can help ease pressure on Arctozolt and allow it to find openings for breaking or cleaning teams. Furthermore, Arctozolt appreciates Pokemon that can lure its common answers in Mega Latias and Ting-Lu, with Toxic Victini being able to soften these answers in the long-term. Entry Hazard removal from partners like Excadrill is vital to ensure the longevity of non-Heavy Duty Boots Arctozolt. Finally, Entry Hazard support from Skarmory, Excadrill, and Ting-Lu helps Arctozolt wear down checks such as Mega Venusaur and Buzzwole, as well as Pokemon that can live Arctozolt's coverage in a pinch such as Magnezone and Excadrill.

Explain why Leftovers and Life Orb are options (Leftovers is good with Subs, Orb kinda sucks tbh maybe we can nuke it), change all hail mentions to snow and lmk when you finish this so i can check it once again :ghorse:

Arctozolt anchors dedicated hail snow teams by providing them with a fearsome Mixed-Attacking cleaner (More like a wallbreaker no? Maybe you can fit both with something like "Arctozolt anchors dedicated snow teams..... with a fearsome wallbreaker thanks to its BoltBeam coverage and cleaner thanks to its Speed under snow), thanks to Slush Rush, that can wreak havoc on many defensive cores and offensive teams with its coveted BoltBeam coverage. make sure to explain why Zolt is a C rank Pokemon Beak Bolt Beak is Arctozolt's main STAB-move, able to achieve impressive feats such as 2HKOing defensive Clefable. (avoiding status is good for sure, but the main focus of Substitute is to punish your opponent from switching, make sure to add this instead) Naive Nature ensures maximum damage output on both sides of the spectrum while also ensuring Arctozolt outspeeds threats such as Zeraora, Mega Aerodactyl, Excadrill, Scarf Rotom-W, Scarf Tapu Fini, and +2 Celesteela under snow (just 2 to 3 examples is fine, especially Zera and Mega Aero). Since Arctozolt's viability is exclusively tied to snow hail, Slowking is an essential partner for it, and with Chilly Reception it sets up hail and offers a slow pivot to Arctozolt that ensures Arctozolt takes as little damage as possible. Slowking provides additional insurance for Arctozolt by pivoting into revenge killers like Choice Scarf Galarian Zapdos, Speed-boosting Iron Moth, Speed-Boosting Iron Boulder, and Scarf Latias, (Just Moth is fine, other examples are mid / destroys Slowking) and its access to Future Sight dissuades answers such as Buzzwole and Mega Venusaur from switching in freely. Physically defensive tanks such as Buzzwole and Mega Venusaur can withstand assaults from Arctozolt and punish Arctozolt with Rocky Helmet or Leech Seed (respectively). (you already covered this earlier, change this to answers for revenge killers like Scarf Hydreigon or Speed Moth) Thus, partners that can harass these Pokemon such as Offensive Celesteela, Mega Latias, Mega Aerodactyl, and Iron Boulder are greatly appreciated by Arctozolt. Similarly, bulky Steel-types such as Magnezone, Mixed Attacking Aegislash, Utility Excadrill, and Scizor can tank a Beak Bolt from Arctozolt in a pinch. Therefore, having teammates that can dispatch Steel-types such as Victini, Keldeo, and Volcanion is greatly appreciated by Arctozolt. Entry Hazard removal from partners like Excadrill and Hydreigon is vital to ensure the longevity of non-Heavy Duty Boots Arctozolt. Finally, Entry Hazard support from Skarmory, Excadrill, and Ting-Lu helps Arctozolt wear down checks such as Mega Venusaur and Buzzwole.

Instead of bulky Steel-type answers, you can probably mention some partners to lure Arctozolt answers e.g Mega Latias / Ting-Lu (Toxic Victini is a good one)

Just Excadrill here is fine since he's much better against Mega Tyranitar for snow teams, unlike Defog Hydreigon

1/1, much better
