Arghonaut

by Arkeis
Arghonaut @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 124 Def / 132 SpD
Careful Nature
- Spikes
- Knock Off
- Earthquake / Circle Throw / Toxic
- Recover

Arghonaut is the premier Spikes setter in the CAP metagame. Thanks to Arghonaut's great defensive typing, which grants it a resistance to Stealth Rock, and bulk, it gets many opportunities to switch into Pokemon such as Heatran, Volkraken, and Ash-Greninja and set Spikes. Furthermore, Arghonaut has alternative support options, such as Knock Off, Earthquake to consistently check Heatran and threaten Electric-types, and Circle Throw to quickly rack up chip damage with Spikes. Its ability, Unaware, allows it to constantly wall Pokemon such as Naviathan and Mega Charizard X. Argonaut pairs particularly well with Grass-types such as Tangrowth and Jumbao, which can check Electric-types. Furthermore, Steel-types like Celesteela and Magearna are useful to check Fairy- and Flying-type Pokemon.

Arghonaut is the premier Spikes setter in the CAP metagame. Thanks to Arghonaut's great defensive typing and bulk, it gets many opportunities to switch into Pokemon such as Heatran, Volkraken, and Ash-Greninja and set Spikes especially with SR resist. Furthermore, Arghonaut has alternative support options, such as Knock Off as well as Circle Throw, which the latter synergizes well with Spikes, quickly wracking up chip damage. ik its supposed to be short, but no mention of EQ makes it weird to see frontslashed. maybe something like "while EQ lets Arghonaut check x consistently, Circle throw synergizes well with spikes" Its ability, Unaware, allows it to constantly wall Pokemon such as Naviathan and Mega Charizard X. Arghonaut pairs particularly well with Grass-types such as Tangrowth and Jumbao, which can check Electric- and Fairy-types do they really check Fairy-types all that well? might want to throw on that having a steel type like steela to make torn-t and lele less of a problem.

QC 1/1, excellent as always
