[OVERVIEW]

* Articuno has a unique niche in the metagame thanks strong Ice-type STAB attacks and great bulk. Blizzard allows Articuno to tear through common cores utilizing Rillaboom, Landorus, and Raging Bolt.

* Alolan Ninetales is mandatory with Articuno, patching up Blizzard's accuracy and amplifying its bulk and damage output through snow, Aurora Veil, and Helping Hand. Landorus makes for a great offensive partner, threatening Ice-resistant foes like Incineroar, Gholdengo, and Kingambit. Articuno is capable of removing Ground-immune foes like Dragonite and opposing Landorus in return.

* Articuno's lack of coverage means aforementioned Ice resists such as Incineroar, Gholdengo, and Kingambit are problematic. Opposing weather from setters like Sunny Day and Rain Dance Tornadus are also an issue, as Articuno becomes a lot easier to remove without the added bulk and accurate Blizzards.

[SET COMMENTS]

* Blizzard is used as Articuno's primary Ice-type STAB move, as it threatens both opponents. Ice Beam is used for a strong single-target attack, and Freeze-Dry is chosen to threaten Water-types like Ogerpon-W, Urshifu-R, and Terastallized Amoonguss, which otherwise take it's hits exceptionally well. Sheer Cold is preferred in the last moveslot to threaten bulky Ice-resistant foes such as Incineroar, Dondozo, and Kingambit.

* Choice Specs allows Articuno to 2HKO Flutter Mane and Terastallized Ogerpon-W with Ice Beam and Freeze-Dry, respectively.

* The given EV spread lets Articuno almost always avoid the 2HKO from Choice Specs Flutter Mane's Tera Fairy Dazzling Gleam and almost always survive Ogerpon-H's Tera Fire Ivy Cudgel under snow and Aurora Veil.

* Articuno utilizes Tera Ice to shed its weakness to Raging Bolt's Thunderclap and keep the Defense boost from snow as well as make up for its mediocre damage output. This is because snow and Aurora Veil allow Articuno to function in seemingly bad matchups without a defensive Tera type.

[OVERVIEW]

* Articuno has an excellent niche in the metagame thanks to Snow Cloak, strong Ice-STAB attacks, and great bulk, bolstered by snow,. Articuno is superb at tearing through the most common balance core utilizing Rillaboom, Landorus, and Raging Bolt.

* Ninetales-Alola is mandatory with Articuno, patching up its poor defensive typing and Blizzard's accuracy through Snow, and further amplifying its bulk through Snow. Furthermore, Ninetales-Alola can amplify Articuno's bulk further with Aurora Veil. Landorus makes for a great offensive partner, threatening Ice-resistant foes like Incineroar, Gholdengo and Kingambit. Articuno is capable of removing Rillaboom, Dragonite, and opposing Landorus in return.

* Articuno strictly uses Ice-type moves (good opportunity here to explain why, you can simple precede it with "Due to it's lack of coverage"), so aforementioned Ice resists such as Incineroar, Gholdengo (perhaps elaborate on the fact that it not only resists but also nasty plots and starts clicking make it rain to threaten both cuno and the supporting atales), and Kingambit are problematic. Opposing weather like Sunny Day / Rain Dance Tornadus are also an issue, as Articuno becomes a lot easier to remove without Snow and Aurora Veil.

Ice Beam is used for a strong single-target attack, and Freeze-Dry is chosen to threaten Water-types like Ogerpon-W, Urshifu-R, and Terastallized Amoonguss, which otherwise take Articuno's moves exceptionally well. As Articuno can't hit Fire- or Steel-types, it opts for Sheer Cold, which works out well considering how bulky Articuno is under snow and Aurora Veil. (Sheer cold is more of an endgame tool to take out extremely bulky pokemon and not just hitting any fire or steel

* Choice Specs allows Articuno to OHKO Tornadus and 2HKO Flutter Mane with Blizzard and Terastallized Ogerpon-W with Freeze Dry.

* The EV spread lets Articuno almost always avoid the 2HKO from Choice Specs Flutter Mane's Tera Fairy Dazzling Gleam, and almost always survive Tera Fire Ogerpon-H's Ivy Cudgel under Snow and Aurora Veil.

Slowly getting through these, I will be doing a re-check probs, dont forget to credit me and insert btw
[OVERVIEW]

* Articuno has an excellent niche in the metagame thanks to Snow Cloak Im a bit dubious on that excellent nieche part, due to the nature of writing this stuff its probs not gonna be that strong by the time this is up. Also, I would axe Snow Cloak, I dont really think its got that much of an impact on its viability, ex if it diden't have it would be that much worse., strong Ice-STAB attacks, and great bulk.(AP) , bolstered by snow, At least to me, this makes more sense later on in the Ninetales mention, Its not really about Articuno. Blizzard allows Articuno is superb at tearing to through the most common balance cores such as ones utilizing Rillaboom, Landorus, and Raging Bolt. You can replace blizzard with spread ice type coverage, I think its important to mention why Articuno is used over say Chien Pao, as the spread blizzard is a big part of it.

* Ninetales-Alola is mandatory with Articuno, patching up Blizzard's accuracy and amplifying its bulk through Snow, even further with and Aurora Veil, as well as boost its damage with Helping Hand Stacking modifers with HH and stuff is also rly strong, I'll talk more about that later, but I think HH boosts are also pre important. Landorus makes for a great offensive partner, threatening Ice-resistant foes like Incineroar, Gholdengo and Kingambit. Articuno is capable of removing Rillaboom, Dragonite, and opposing Landorus in return. For the second part, IDT Landorus rly cares about opposing Landorus mirrors or Dragonite too much, and has Sludge Bomb for Rilla. For the first, its probs fine, though I think just mentioning types like Lando handles Rock/Steel/Fire would work better but up to you.

* Articuno's strictly uses Ice-type moves due to a lack of coverage, so means aforementioned Ice resists such as Incineroar, Gholdengo, and Kingambit are problematic Problematic feels like a bit of an understatment but whatever gets the message across lol. Opposing weathers like Sunny Day / Rain Dance Tornadus are also an issue, as Articuno becomes a lot easier to remove without Snow and Aurora Veil. Can you explain why? Also, defo mention removing Blizzard spread. One more thing, up to you if you want to include RNG here, not really as a counter but as a mention. Articuno really relies on RNG for a lot of stuff, Blizzard/Sheer Cold missing, Freezes, Snow Cloak, I think its worth add smth about.

* Blizzard is used as Articuno's primary STAB move, as it threatens both opponents. Ice Beam is used for a strong single-target attack, and Freeze-Dry is chosen to threaten Water-types that resist Ice. like Ogerpon-W, Urshifu-R, and Terastallized Amoonguss, which otherwise take Articuno's moves exceptionally well. As Articuno struggles to damage bulky Fire- or Steel-types, it opts for Sheer Cold, Sheer Cold allows Articuno to threaten Ice-resistant foes, which works out well considering how bulky Articuno is under snow and Aurora Veil. Optional, Sheer Cold is not just used for fire/steel but also for stuff like Dozo and bulky mons like P2, and it read kinda clunky at least to me.

* Choice Specs allows Articuno to OHKO Tornadus and 2HKO Flutter Mane and Terastallized Ogerpon-W with Blizzard, Ice Beam, and Freeze-Dry respectively. A big thing with Articuno is stacking damage multipliers to threaten foes who cant kill it with all the snow bulk, I think you should highlight that a bit more than just respective calcs, as an OHKO on say Tornadus and Ogerpon-W shoulden't matter to Articuno so much as they are doing minimal damage. Also, this doesen't even OHKO Tornadus cleanly, a lot of Calm sets are a 50/50 and Flutter with HP investments aren't cleanly OKHOed either.

* The EV spread lets Articuno almost always avoid the 2HKO from Choice Specs Flutter Mane's Tera Fairy Dazzling Gleam, and almost always survive Tera Fire Ogerpon-H's Ivy Cudgel under Snow and Aurora Veil. What does the Spa Attack investment do?

* Articuno utilizes Tera Ice to shed its weakness to Raging Bolt's Thunderclap and keep the defense boost from snow, as well as pick up crucial OHKOs on Raging Bolt and Assault Vest Rillaboom. This is because Snow and Aurora Veil allow Articuno to take on seemingly bad matchups without a defensive Tera type. Again I think you should highlight more stacking damage multipliers to make up for Articunos poor offenses and pressure, and bring up calcs as an example. Why would Rilla matter much to Articuno or Ninetales, its doing like less than 20% with veil up, and Bolt is doing like 35% with TClap before Tera with veil.
