* With Assault Vest, Azumarill patches up its frail Special Defense, letting it defeat special attackers it would otherwise struggle against, such as Porygon-Z, Iron Moth, and Spectrier.
* Play Rough can hit Dark-type foes such as Urshifu and Darkrai, and Dragon-type foes such as Roaring Moon and Walking Wake.
* Liquidation hits Fire-types such as Skeledirge, Volcarona and Iron Moth.
* Knock Off allows it to defeat Spectrier, while Superpower allows it to beat most Porygon-Z.
* Aqua Jet is an crucial priority move that allows Azumarill to score key knockouts by using it after one of its primary offensive moves. It beats Spectrier by using Knock Off thrice, then using Aqua Jet, and gains its best odds into most Porygon-Z by using it after Superpower.
* The EV spread allows Azumarill to live two burned Hexes from a Spectrier that has lost its item from Knock Off, while having the best odds into Choice Specs Porygon-Z, should you choose to slot superpower.
* Due to its inability to handle Poison-types and opposing Fairy-types such as Sneasler and Sylveon, Steel-types such as Metagross, Iron Crown and Corviknight pair well alongside it.

EVs: 248 HP / 100 Atk / 12 Def / 148 SpD EVs: 248 HP / 112 Atk / 148 SpD (still lives specs pz beam, but with actual attack to beat the comp set [87% chance], not the best as pz can be physdef with nasty plot and still OHKO you with +2 beam but it's the closest we can get.)

- Superpower / Knock Off (for spectrier, the evs allow you to live two burned hexes and you koff thrice into jet for the KO)

I'll be honest I think knock should be the main option and superpower should be the alternative option. pz is much less common than spect. everything else looks okay, I'll want to follow up on discord
