Not A Bug Assault Vest prevents the use of status moves

What is the bug?
Not sure if this is a bug or I am missing something. When I ever build a team with Garchomp and Orthoworm with a move set containing coil and helping hand. Both of the moves become disabled/greyed out when orthoworm enters battle

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
Add Garchomp and orthoworm to a team. Set orthoworm to earth eater ability and have moves coil and helping hand. Go into a random battle set H vgc and you can see orthoworm coil and helping hand are greyed out

Orthworm has an Assault Vest, which disables status moves.

Could not replicate. Coil was selected for T2, but Orthworm died before using it.

Did you have the item Assault Vest on Orthworm? This would cause this behavior in an intended manner.
