Ting-Lu's excellent defensive stats and useful typing let it check a plethora of special attackers such as Dragapult, Iron Moth and Gholdengo. Throat Chop lets it beat all Boomburst users and Ground-immune Gholdengo. Ruination + Sand Tomb traps and eliminates opposing Ting-Lu and Skeledirge, while also draining recovery PP from Hippowdon or Blissey. Some special attackers like Iron Valiant and Iron Bundle can prove dangerous, so pairing Ting-Lu with Ice Scales Corviknight and Desolate Land Iron Moth are good options. Ting-Lu can switch into weaker physical attackers like Roaring Moon, but it should be used as help for the main Fur Coat wall on the team. Ting-Lu is vulnerable to opposing setup sweepers, so teammates like Unaware Corviknight are greatly appreciated. Corviknight can also reduce its weakness to entry hazards.

Ting-lu's excellent defensive stats and useful typing let it check the plethora of special attackers in the Almost Any Ability tier. It is fully capable of countering Dragapult and special Desolate Land abusers; thanks to Assault Vest it can withstand super effective hits such as Iron Moth's Solar Beam or Sheer Force Flutter Mane Moonblast and threaten with heavy damage such as Dragapult and Iron Moth; thanks to Assault Vest, it can even survive Moonblast from Flutter Mane and KO back. The combination of Ruination and Sand Tomb makes it a ample stallbreaker able to 1v1 defensive Pokemon like opposing Ting-Lu and Fur Coat Skeledirge, as well as take a huge chunk of recovery PP from Pokemon like Hippowdon or Blissey Ruination + Sand Tomb traps and eliminates opposing Ting-Lu and Skeledirge, while also draining recovery from Hippowdon and Blissey. Some Special Attackers like Iron Valiant and Iron Bundle can prove to be dangerous, so pairing Ting-Lu with Ice Scales Corviknight or and Desolate Land Iron Moth are good options. Ting-Lu's high defense stat might be enough for some physical attackers can still switch into weaker physical attackers like Roaring Moon, but it should be used as help for the main Fur Coat wall on the team. Ting-Lu is vulnerable to opposing setup sweepers, so teammates like Unaware Corviknight are great appreciated; Corviknight can also reduce its weakness to entry hazards.

How did this entire analysis not mention Gholdengo a single time? That's a really big thing to miss. Even if it's Earth Eater, Throat Chop + Ruination can screw it over.
