AtavanHalen343's Little Cup Champeenship Contenders

Spike @ Eviolite
Ability: Illusion
EVs: 252 Spd, 96 SpAtk, 160 Atk
Nature: Mild
- Extrasensory
- Night Daze
- Hidden Power Fire
- U-Turn

Spike does what a Zorua normally does: surprises. He's got a decent Special Attack stat and Speed stat, so I've tried to make the best of those. Extrasensory is for those pesky Fighting types, Night Daze gives him a good STAB move, while Hidden Power deals with the rare Steel type. U-Turn is merely for the sake of getting Spike out when he's in trouble, and allowing me to switch in a counter.

Amber @ Flame Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 Spd, 252 SpAtk, 4 HP
Nature: Timid
- Switcheroo
- Leech Seed
- Giga Drain
- Substitute

Yeah, I know: I'm not running Encore. Yes, I know, it's almost blasphemy, but I'm sticking with this choice. This allows me to switch Amber in on any Physical Sweeper and cripple them immediately. Plus, there's the good chance foes may have Eviolite, which would assist with her frailty. Then, I proceed abuse Prankster, like any good Cottonee would.

Makamakahi @ Eviolite
Ability: Hustle
EVs: 252 Spd, 252 Atk
Nature: Adamant
- Superpower
- Flare Blitz
- U-Turn
- Rock Slide

Makamakahi is my revenge killer. Superpower provides great coverage, while Flare Blitz is a hard hitting STAB move. Rock Slide is an okay move merely there for a stronger move with less of a downside. U-Turn is to get a hit in and then shake off the stat drops from Superpower.

Phaze @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd, 252 SpAtk
Nature: Modest
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Energy Ball
- Sludge Bomb

Phaze is my special sweeper, running (heh heh) a hit-and-run set. With Shadow Ball and Sludge Bomb filling the strong STAB category, Thunderbolt and Energy Ball provide good coverage, as well as being pretty strong themselves. Not too much to look into here. He does his job pretty well.

Sharlot @ Eviolite
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 134 Def, 156 SpDef, 220 SpAtk
Nature: Modest
- Barrier
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power Fighting
- Stored Power

I'm very happy with Sharlot. Eviolite helps boost her already decent defenses, which I then support with Barrier. Afterwards, spam Calm Mind, then sweep with Stored Power. Hidden Power Fighting is for those pesky Steel types and Dark types. Debating on dropping Barrier for Substitute, but I'll collect some opinions first.

Perla @ DeepSeaTooth
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 SpDef, 252 SpAtk
Nature: Modest
- Shell Smash
- Hidden Power Grass
- Ice Beam
- Surf

Shell Smash is ridiculously good, and DeepSeaTooth only adds to the sting it causes. Perla (it's a dude) is my other special sweeper, as Phaze plays more of a special reveng killer. Pretty simple set up here. He's a powerful little bugger, especially once he's smashed (hee hee). Ice Beam provides nice coverage with Surf supplying the main STAB power to the set. Hidden Power Grass is for little guys called Chinchou.

Well, this is the Champeenship Contendadores Team! I'm rather new to the competitive battle scene, and even newer to the Little Cup tier. I saw it and found it to be an intriguing and fun-sounding challenge, so, naturally, I haphazardly constructed a team and got their movesets together. I'm rather happy with it, though. Lemme know what you think ^.^

isnt darumaka a little slow for a revenge killer? try scarfing it, that should fix it. Personally im no fan of hustle especially with a 70% accuracy(maybe 75 or something, cant be bothered with checking and doing the proper math) non STAB move sporting 75 base power, it doesnt really hit much to be honest(in fact im pretty sure a decent chunk of the meta resists it and those hit neutrally are hit harder by flare blitz) then again you dont have to much in terms of options, perhaps fire punch for a non recoil STAB? return for a generaly high base power while hitting waters and stuff? dunno. First off, if you want a revenge killer get something that at least outspeeds a dweeble and doesnt cap at 15 speed while the spread and nature you give it makes it tie with a magnemite. If you want this thing as a revenge killer then scarf it.

as for gastly, i think energy ball and t bolt have rather redundant coverage alongside each other since they are booth there to hit waters arent they? try HP fire or fight, HP fire nails the steel types and HP fight only hits ferroseed and scraggy, ferroseed is hit harder by HP fire and scraggy is hit harder by sludge bomb.\

as for muna, i can see you getting about two calm minds before either fainting or getting one KO at the most, doesnt that thing get moonlight? and as for barrier or sub, go for sub, lets you scout moves and potentialy score a free turn by subbing on a status move. Honestly, it looks like your aiming for a fairly long set up with multiple CMs, i dont think anything without recovery can acomplish this, especialy something with munna's defense.

Deepseatooth is banned in LC, if it wasnt then dont you think it would be #1 on the usage list? try changing the item and changing the spread/set if it relied on deep sea tooth.

cottenee's EVs look weird, max speed and special attack? i mean the speed is useless to be honest, 3/4 of the attacks are priority while the last just looks like its there to stop you being taunt bait, you wont be outspeeding anything that matters with those speed EVs to be honest. And with a truly gargantuan special attack stat of 14 and one attacking move thats really a force to be reckoned with(sarcasm if you cant tell >.>) so ditch the special attack EVs and invest in the defenses and HP, dont the same with the speed EVs.

your team also sports a heavy bias to special attacking 5/6 so munchlax walls those five while im pretty sure darumaka cant OHKO munchlax due to that HP stat while munchlax slaps it back with STAB return off its high attack stat, otherwise something physially defensive like nosepass or slowpoke can take care of darumaka too.

Rework the EVs, add some more descriptions and perhaps try and balance your team some more. Quite a few gaping type weaknesses too. Not to sound rude or something but you should really look into the mechanics of LC's EVs and work a bit more on the type balancing(dark and bug spring to mind at first glance as problems).

Trakyan is correct, Try an eviolite in its place, i have run it before and it can take any hit other than grass or electric. Also the choice scarf part. My own ideas: Zorua is a very frail pokemon in its place i would reccomend this:
Meowth w/ Life Orb
Note: Make SURE it has 19 Hp (lower the IV's)
Adamant Nature
Ability: Technician
Ev's: 236 Attack 76 Def 196 Spe
-Fake Out
-Feint
-Aerial Ace
-Bite/U-turn

This is one of my favorite sets. It makes Meowth one of the most important pokemon on a team. Technician boosted stab fake out does a hefty amount to any poke, if you didnt know what Feint does, it bypasses protect and is also a +2 priority move(also with a stab and technician boost) meowth becomes the ultimate revenge killer with this moveset. Aerial ace is for surprising lead mienfoo and other fighting types for an easy KO.
At least try it.

I agree with thunder pick about changing Zorua with many matches having the team preview his ability will be rendered useless. although common i would suggest Meinfoo to take its place good scout that can help a little with your Muchlax problem

Well, I probably should have thought this team out a bit better. I think I'd like to have this thread closed, so I can study up and practice for a while, then I'll try building another RMT.
