First attempt at a competitive team. Please give criticism.
Typically, I tend to switch Pokemon a lot, many times into opponent's moves just to avoid bad match-ups. I'm not sure if that's the right strategy, especially with this team?
In no particular order:
1. Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sand Rush
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 252 Atk/252 Spe/4 SpD
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Iron Head
Rapid Spin
Meant to utilize Tyranitar's sand and become an incredibly fast physical sweeper. Air Balloon > Life Orb just because Tyranitar may be targeted by a Ground move and thus provides more switching opportunities.
2. Mega Venusaur
Ability: Thick Fat
Nature: Modest
EV's: 232 HP/24 Def/252 SpA
Leech Seed
Hidden Power Fire
Synthesis
Sludge Bomb
Meant to be a durable Special sweeper + utility.
3. Rotom-Wash @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Bold
EV's: 252 HP/160 Def/148 SpD
Hydro Pump
Volt Switch
Will O' Wisp
Rest
Meant to be purely utility. Weaken opponent's physical Pokemon with Will O' Wisp, Volt Switch to switch into other Pokemon without harm on them.
4. Tyranitar @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 248 HP/252 Atk/8 SpD
Stone Edge
Stealth Rock
Pursuit
Ice Punch
Meant to bring sand to Excadrill, get Pursuit on common psychic threats, utilize Stealth Rock, and Ice Punch on common counters like Garchomp and Landorus-T (who commonly switch into Tyranitar).
5. Weavile @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Jolly
EV's: 252 Atk/252 Spe/4 SpD
Knock Off
Poison Jab
Low Kick
Ice Shard
An independent Physical Sweeper, with a similar plan as Excadrill: Move fast, hit hard.
6. Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
Nature: Calm
EV's: 252 HP/252 SpD/4 SpA
Hyper Voice
Wish
Protect
Heal Bell
My special tank + cleric. Often times I switch into Sylveon to tank a Special hit.
