Team Glance (CHANGES MARKED IN RED)

dpmfa260.png

Swampert, the Lead
@Leftovers
Relaxed nature
EVs:240 HP 216 Def 52 SpA
Surf
Ice Beam
Earthquake
Stealth Rock

The lead of my team. Swampert offers great type resistance as well as sturdy defenses and an acceptable SpA to kill even the toughest pokemon that can't kill it in one hit.

dpffa094.png

Gengar, Special Sweeper
@Leftovers/Life Orb
Timid nature
EVs:252 SpA 252 Sp 6 HP
Thunderbolt
Shadow Ball
Energy Ball
HP Ice

Offers awesome coverage against almost anything. Pretty straightforward moveset, as it can kill Gyarados, most Dragons, other Gengars, and maybe even some bulky waters. im debating over Life Orb for increased power or Leftovers for increased endurance though.

Cresselia@Leftovers
Timid Nature
EVs:252 SpA, 160 Sp, 96 HP
Calm Mind
Charge Beam
Ice Beam
Moonlight

My new wall. So far it hasnt disappointed me, though it hasnt been in any serious battles yet. I ditched Psychic for both beams in order to take down threats like Gyarados and Dragons easier.

dpffa485.png

Heatran@Choice Specs
Modest Nature
EVs:252 SpA, 216 Sp, 40 HP
Dragon Pulse
Overheat
Earth Power
Sleep Talk

Ah, Specs Heatran. This thing always comes in handy no matter what the situation. I added Sleep Talk to absorb some status effects. The typing of this thing also allows me to overcome the ice weakness i had. Though i really miss my Infernape a lot.

dpmfa373.png

Salamence, the Dragon Dancer
@Leftovers
Adamant nature
EVs:252 Atk, 252 Sp, 4 HP
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Fire Blast

The late game sweeper. After 1 Dragon Dance, Salamence is nearly unstoppable, except maybe by a few Pokemon that outspeed it. Dragon Claw for STAB, Earthquake for any annoying electric types, and Fire Blast for the occassional Skarmory.

dpmfa445.png

Garchomp, the Powerhouse
@Yache Berry
Jolly nature
EVs:252 Atk, 252 Sp, 4 HP
Swords Dance
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Fire Fang

Basically a backup counterpart to Salamence. It's faster, with a little less attack than Salamence, but with STABed Earthquake. This thing never fails me at all, so i don't plan on getting rid of it.

Well that was my second team. Suggest any changes to the Pokemon, their moves, natures, EVs, or etc.

A manoswine is a big problem for your team he can ice shard the salamance, garchomp for a kill and 2ohko vevnasaur. if he lives a flamethrower he earthquakes and you lost.

Weee, a team made with favorites. It's a good spirit though.

Suggestions:

1. This may sound awkward, but giving Swampert Waterfall in place of Surf, and replacing HP Elec on EQ would help your Swampy against the lead Gyarados and Anti-lead TTar/other variance (Thx to physical water).

2. On CB Metagross, you could replace Pursuit on Bullet Punch to prevent that annoying Deoxys-S from ever switching in again. And in place of T-Punch, you could give it Explosion instead, as the opponent may make the decision to switch Gya out for Dugtrio/Garchomp, and that's bad.

3. For Garchomp, make that Dragon Claw an Outrage. To put things into perspective: unboosted Dragon Claw does 77.37-91.06% against Garchomp.

well i had a previous team and i was completely unprepared for one, so i got destroyed by it. ever since that battle, Jolteon has become one of the biggest threats in my mind. EDIT: I'm thinking of trying to fit a Deoxys-S in here or possibly a Gliscor if this team is unsuccessful in any way so any thoughts on that would also help me a ton. THANKS btw

thing is if i replace Earthquake on Swampert, i can't get rid of Jolteon as easily.
How big of a threat have you had with Jolteon?
Whether it's EQ or not, Jolteon lead would usually try subbing away. Swampert's Waterfall or EQ would simply break its Sub. Jolteon with HP Grass is kinda rare though, but possible nonetheless. If Jolteon's a HP Grass user, then your Dragon laughs at it.

well the Jolteon was able to single-handedly take out my previous wish Jirachi with Shadow Ball, possibly because i got careless. it also used HP Ice to take out all my Dragons due to it having 394 speed and my Dragons not being able to keep up with it, not to mention having a 4x weakness to it. and i kinda forgot to put hold items in that battle too as i just got the Pokemon -_- EDIT: ive spent some time using Damage Calculators, and if i've calculated this correctly, a max SpD Mamoswine will ONLY survive a flamethrower from my Infernape if it has NOT used Nasty Plot once. if my Infernape uses Nasty Plot prior to Mamoswine being sent out, a Flamethrower will OHKO a max SpD Mamoswine. the only way it has a chance of KOing my Infernape is if it has a Focus Sash. Keep in mind those were calculations for a max SpD Mamoswine with a +SpD nature, which i dont think is even a smart plan in the first place.

DD Gyara with Waterfall, Ice Fang and EQ can pose a problem to the team. That said, ironically, after your Venusaur (and maybe Swampert) is gotten rid off, enemy Swamperts can easily wreck havoc too. Your team is in a need for speed (sorry for the pun)

hmm i've also come to realize that i am lacking in speed in some of my greatest attackers (Metagross). due to me wanting to attack first, im forced to use the half-assed bullet punch over Meteor Mash in most cases, im thinking of adding Deoxys-S somewhere, but where? EDIT: i used to have a Gengar in my party, but overlooked it to make this team, does anyone know where i should add either Deoxys-S or a Gengar?BY THE WAY: If anyone has a suggestion for a faster sweeper that can deal as much damage as the sweepers i have right now, then please do tell. the only pokemon im not willing to get rid of is Garchomp and MAYBE Salamence

bump plus i've added these two to my team:

dpmfa485.png

Heatran@Choice Specs
Modest nature
EVs:252 SpA, 40 HP, 216 Speed
Overheat
Earth Power
Dragon Pulse
Sleep Talk

Pretty nice typing. It makes up for my ice weakness and has a great type coverage as well for moves.

dpffa488.png

Cresselia@Leftovers
Timid nature
EVs:252 SpA, 160 Sp, 96 HP
Calm Mind
Charge Beam
Ice Beam
Moonlight

My new wall. So far it hasnt disappointed me, though it hasnt been in any serious battles yet. I ditched Psychic for both beams in order to take down threats like Gyarados and Dragons easier.
