Attempting to counter OU threats. (OU RMT.)

I've been working on this team for about a month, and we're doing pretty decently. I won't deny that there are holes in both my team and strategy, but we're climbing up the ratings steadily. I'd say that we win 70% of battles, but I have problems countering Metagross and Jirachi.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

At a glance.

Now, for the good stuff.

aerodactyl.png

Lead!Aerodactyl

Aimee @Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Jolly
4HP/252 Attack/252 Speed

Earthquake
Rock Slide
Stealth Rock
Taunt

Aimee does exactly what a lead Aerodactyl is supposed to: taunt, die and leave rocks behind. I used to run Ice Fang for Roserade and Salamence, but it doesn't do as much damage as a STAB Avalanche or ice shard from Mamoswine. I had pursuit for Uxie, or whatever lake spirit, but it didn't do as much damage as I would have liked.

gyarados.png

Standard!Gyrados

Giselle @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Adamant
4HP/252 Attack/252 Speed

Waterfall
Dragon Dance
HP Flying
Ice Fang

Giselle's Intimidate allows her to take Bullet Punches from Metagross and Scizor, then Waterfall right back for damage. It really dents them both, even if it doesn't KO. She's also where I send Jirachi's Iron Head attacks until I can figure out what to do with it. She's my 'OMG, I can't kill it' attacker, and comes in handy for those that have many resists. She works well if I want to attract Electric types to heal my Jolteon.

heracross.png

Revenge Killer!Heracross

Helena @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
Nature: Adamant
4HP/252 Attack/252 Speed

Close Combat
Megahorn
Facade
Swords Dance

Wow. Helena comes in and hits hard, especially physical or special walls. A STAB CC isn't anything to scoff at, and a Guts boosted CC is even scarier. Don't even let me get a Swords Dance in. Late game, or if things get hairy, I clean up with Helena. She works really well with Mamoswine because for some reason, Heracross attracts Salamence. She doesn't last long, but leaves her mark.

mamoswine.png

Dragon/Bird/Lucario Killer, Electric attack taker, Magical! Mamoswine

Meena @ Life Orb
Ability: Snow Cloak
Nature: Jolly
124HP/252 Attack/64 Defense/68 Speed

Avalanche
Earthquake
Ice Shard
Superpower

Meena is really the only defensive pokemon on my team. I need her to take down Dragons and Zapdoses, and hold off any real threats for a turn or two. Avalance can take down a LOT of quick pokemon, especially threats like Gengar, who can SWEEP if Jolteon is out. She substitutes for Jolteon by taking electric attacks, and can take ONE Bullet Punch on a good day and hit back HARD with Avalanche. It scares the PANTS off of dragons with Avalanche. Your Salamence can kiss the battle goodbye after an Avalanche. Meena can switch in and out easily, and is more than often my last player.

jolteon.png

Crazy fast, takes it all!Jolteon

Jillian @ Choice Specs
Ability: Volt Absorb
Nature: Timid
252 Special Attack/232 Speed/24 Special Defense

Thunderbolt
HP Grass
Sleep Talk
Shadow Ball

Jillian is my status absorber, but now that I think about it, would Rest Talk Gyarados be better? Anyway, she takes down Psychics, Ghosts, and other Jolteons with Shadow Ball. Specs Thunderbolt takes down just about everything, no joke. Hidden Power Grass kills Swampert before it gets to attack. If I'm locked into an attack, it doesn't bother much because of the massive damage SpecsJolt can cause. Works great because Gyarados and Aerodactyl attract so many electric attacks and picks up the slack by causing major damage.

infernape.png

Last Resort!Infernape

Indigo @ Fist Plate
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Jolly
252 Speed/252 Special Attack

Blaze Kick
Stone Edge
Close Combat
U-Turn (Eh, I don't know what should go here...)

Infernape is a beast. I needed something fast and strong to take out Steels and (rarely) Grass types in two moves or less, and I got it. My last resort, so I don't want her locked with Specs or a Band, and she takes out just about everything, no questions asked. Stone Edge HURTS, and I needed the coverage to kill other Infernapes. U-Turn gets me out of there before fast psychics can kill me, and the other two are obvious. Infernape and Jolteon give me great coverage and take out just about anything the other four can't.

Thanks for reading this. Your time is invaluable to me, and any member of this team can be replaced. I'll test your suggestions and post my results.

Thanks again,

TwistedSinews.

FYI, Gyarados' Intimidate doesn't affect Metagross... nou have t that it needs help in taking BPs. Also, why do you run HP Flying? That's a physical attack my friend, and Gyarados isn't doing anything with it, even with STAB. Also, I think your EVs on Mamoswine are for the Curse set, but you have Superpower in place of Curse. IMO CurseSwine is an excellent Pokemon, and not often used,

hidden power flying isn't physical, in 3rd gen it was but in 4th gen all hidden power types are special...

if you want physical flying have bounce, and change ice fang to EQ as mamo takes the role of dragon killing and flying ground is a great attacking combo coupled with stab waterfall...

if you're having problems with jirachi and metagross perhaps change infernape to a mixape (standard) as flamthrower hits those two on their weaker defence. try the mixape set here

http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/infernape

probably one of the special ones (nasty mix-ape, special based mix-ape) as you have many powerful physical threats already...

if you want a great revenge killer in heracross perhaps try the choice scarf standar as the speed boost aids the revenge killing immensly.

Please revise the special/physical split and rewrite the RMT, since HP Flying is no longer physical and also the attacks on your Infernape are all physical yet you chose to have 252 sp att evs.
