I just got the red ring of death and I cant send it in to microsoft for undisclosed reasons
Plus, even if i did, my warranty(including the special extended warranty for red ring of death errors) has expired and i will probably have to pay a shitload of money for them to fix it and im not doing that
So I have a few quick questions before I consult a pro from craigslist
1. If you keep on turning it back on to check if it got better, will it do further damage to the machine? It worked this one time I turned it on and it allowed me to clear the system cache but after that it went back into retard mode
2. My error is E20, or 0110, something about the RAM chip suffering from a cold or bridged solder (whatever that means)
is there anything I can do myself to fix it?
P.S. could a sharpie be the cause of the problem
I mean how long does it take for sharpie ink to dry up?
Like if you label a DVD with a sharpie and pop it into an XBOX 360 or a DVD Player right away, will the sharpie ink screw up the machine?
