after being knocked out in the first round in 07 (due to lack of knowledge about what was good and EVs etc.) i want to make amends and go far this time round

Garchomp @ Life Orb
Sand Veil
Naive
252 Atk/6 SpA/252 Spe
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Fire Blast

decided to go with life orb instead of choice scarf as i don't want to have 2 choice item users

Porygon2 @ Leftovers
Trace
Bold
252 HP/216 Def/40 SpA
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Thunder Wave

Since Dragons and Gyarados are most likely to be running wild at the event, Porygon2 can take a hit from them and then OHKO them, thunder wave is for slowing down opponents if i need it

Scizor @ Choice Band
Technician
Adamant
240 HP/252 Atk/16 Spe
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Pursuit
- U-Turn

Scizor can clean up what the rest started, i decided to move some EVs from HP to Speed to ensure i get the first attack if i come up against another scizor

i was originally going to run SD lucario instead of scizor but then i found out it learnt extremespeed at level 51 :(

If I recall correctly if both parents have a level up move they pass it on to the baby, that is if you are keen on having Lucario.

Wow, everyone seems to be leading with Garchomps!

The team looks good, I especially approve of Pory-2.

I would be careful of Choice-Scarf or Focus-Sash leads as they could get the jump on Garchomp, especially CS Starmie and FS Weavile, popular leads in '07. Garchomp is fragile enough that one hit after LO is all it takes to KO him.

Please expand upon your descriptions in accordance with rule 3. Why did you pick a certain Pokemon or moveset, how does it fit within your team etc. PM me with improved descriptions and I'll unlock your thread and you can bump it.

RMT Rules said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you're having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.
