Recently, in the tours chat room there has been a name changing spammer who will fill up the entire chat of a battle with his name changing. Im suggesting that possibly in the options menu when you press the gear in the top right corner, there should be an option that can be turn on and off modchat and when you enter a battle with the option on, it will automatically put modchat on to not let trolls have the ability to troll your battle.

Rejected - Inactive Auto Modchat option when entering games

As far as I can tell, the name changes are not actually affected by modchat, as they're a command. In addition, using /modchat + is rather easy to type and easy to remember. I don't think a button for setting modchat when starting a game would be convenient for that problem but as with invite-only battles it would be more convenient for other people that don't want people talking in their games.
The name changes spam does get taken away when modchat is turned on. However my whole suggestion was just to have an option in the options menu to be able to have mod chat automatically turned on in any match you play. Plus I believe it can help limit trolling in games from spectators especially for streamers or big name youtubers
