Moves
=========
Knock Off is Bisharp's main Dark-type move, dealing heavy damage on top of removing items from switch-ins like Skarmory, Zapdos, and Rotom-W. Iron Head is Bisharp's secondary STAB move, enabling it to properly check bulky Fairy-types. Sucker Punch lets Bisharp revenge kill frail offensive threats like Mega Alakazam and Latios while also allowing it to pick off Pokemon like Volcarona after some chip damage. Pursuit allows Bisharp to trap and remove prevalent threats such as Latios, Latias, and Tornadus-T as well as get chip damage on Choice-locked Pokemon like Weavile. Low Kick can be used over Pursuit if the team is especially weak to opposing Bisharp and not in need of Pursuit.
Set Details
========
Maximum HP on Bisharp maximizes bulk, helping Bisharp check and trap Pokemon like Serperior and Latios while also allowing Bisharp to pivot in against Pokemon like Weavile and Tyranitar. Maximum Attack is preferred on this set, as it is needed to effectively Pursuit trap bulkier Psychic-types like Slowbro, Mega Latias, and Cresselia. An alternative spread of 144 HP / 252 Atk / 112 SpD can be used to survive +3 Manaphy's Surf, at the cost of some physical bulk. Finally, some Speed can also be used on this set, but it is not needed, as outpacing the likes of Skarmory and Mega Scizor is unnecessary.
Usage Tips
========
The main use of this set is to come in on Psychic- and Ghost-types, which Bisharp can immediately threaten with Knock Off and Pursuit. Bisharp is also able to Pursuit trap any Pokemon that is afraid of getting KOed by Sucker Punch. The set focuses on support, with Knock Off removing items such as Leftovers and Rocky Helmet from Pokemon like Rotom-W, Zapdos, and Skarmory and Sucker Punch giving Bisharp a priority move, letting it revenge kill faster Pokemon that threaten it, like Mega Alakazam, Mega Metagross, and Gengar. Bisharp must be used carefully throughout the course of a match, avoiding moves like Will-O-Wisp and Scald so as to not compromise its longevity. Defiant prevents Intimidate users from walling Bisharp while also punishing Defog attempts from Pokemon such as Zapdos and Latias.
Team Options
========
Assault Vest Bisharp thrives with teammates that struggle versus bulky Psychic- and Ghost-types. Pokemon like Mega Gallade, Mega Medicham, and Mega Metagross, all of which struggle against Cresselia, Slowbro, and Cofagrigus, greatly appreciate Bisharp's ability to Pursuit trap or at least weaken these foes. Teammates that can cover Bisharp's weaknesses to Ground-, Fighting-, and Fire-type attacks, such as Tornadus-T, Dragonite, and Mega Latias, are appreciated. Other Pokemon like Rotom-W and Thundurus are also great teammates, as they can bring in Bisharp comfortably with Volt Switch, allowing Bisharp to Pursuit trap foes more effectively.
