It has good matchups against Restricted Pokemon like Koraidon, Kyogre, Lunala, and Calyrex-S and non-Restricted threats such as Urshifu-R, Tornadus, and Ogerpon-H.
- Draco Meteor can be inconsistent, but it has the power to consistently OHKO threats like Miraidon and opposing Raging Bolt, something Dragon Pulse cannot do. Dragon Pulse, while more reliable, lacks that same level of immediate power. Electroweb gives Raging Bolt a form of speed control that still deals meaningful damage, letting it outspeed Pokemon like Kyogre, Chi-Yu, the Urshifu formes, and Lunala after one Electroweb. Snarl allows Raging Bolt to disrupt special attackers like Calyrex-S, Kyogre, Landorus, Terapagos, and Lunala, as well as dealing good damage to Calyrex-S and breaking Lunala's Shadow Shield.
- Assault Vest lets Raging Bolt take considerably more special attacks from Pokemon such as Calyrex-S, Lunala, Landorus, and Terapagos, such as being able to survive two of Life Orb Calyrex-S's Astral Barrages and two of Lunala's Moongeist Beams.

- Tera Electric is a great option to let Raging Bolt consistently 2HKO Flutter Mane, Calyrex-S, and Incineroar with Thunderbolt. Tera Fairy is a good general defensive typing to let it take Zamazenta-C's Body Press and become immune to Dragon-type moves from Miraidon and opposing Raging Bolt.

- Raging Bolt has bad matchups against Ground-type Pokemon like Landorus and Ursaluna, which are immune to Electric-type attacks and threaten Raging Bolt. Pokemon with Fake Out, such as Incineroar and Iron Hands, can also do well against this set, as it cannot use Protect to get around Fake Out, and both can take Raging Bolt's attacks well, allowing them to use Parting Shot or Low Kick in return.
- Raging Bolt synergizes with sun setters like Koraidon, as sun boosts Raging Bolt's Special Attack through Protosynthesis while Raging Bolt provides support for Koraidon against Kyogre. Raging Bolt also supports Pokemon like Calyrex-S against Tornadus and Urshifu-R with Thunderclap and helps Pokemon such as Calyrex-I and Zamazenta-C in the Koraidon matchup.
- Non-Restricted Pokemon like Urshifu-R and Chien-Pao pair nicely with Raging Bolt by hitting Ground- and Grass-type Pokemon such as Landorus and Rillaboom that Raging Bolt may be bad against. Incineroar is another great partner for Raging Bolt, being able to switch into threats like Chien-Pao and Flutter Mane and weaken Iron Hands and the aforementioned Chien-Pao with Intimidate. Encore Calyrex-S and Incineroar as well as other Fake Out users like Rillaboom help combat opposing Fake Out with Encore or their own Fake Out.

(Maybe rearrange this to be less of a run-on sentence.)
- Electroweb gives Raging Bolt and its teammates a form of speed control that still deals meaningful damage, letting it outspeed Pokemon like Kyogre, Chi yu Chi-Yu, Urshifu, (AC) and Lunala after a speed drop. Most notably Urshfiu-R but I would also include Chi-Yu and Ogerpon-H. These are just examples, I encourage you to try and brainstorm yourself before using these besides urshifu, def use that)
