[SET COMMENTS]
Courtesy of its special bulk, Speed tier, and Regenerator, Assault Vest Tornadus-T is able to pivot into numerous special attackers such as Dragapult, Iron Valiant, and Tapu Lele. U-turn allows Tornadus-T to pivot out of these attackers and bring in its own threatening teammates, such as Mega Diancie and Zamazenta, against passive switchins - such as Rotom-W and Heatran. Knock Off cripples offensive and defensive Pokemon alike, removing items such as Choice Specs from Dragapult, Leftovers from Rotom-W and Gholdengo, and Heavy-Duty Boots from Clodsire, allowing Tornadus-T's teammates to more easily withstand these Pokemon. Heat Wave allows Tornadus-T to threaten Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor, preventing Ferrothorn from setting entry hazards and Scizor from using Tornadus-T as setup fodder. Alternatively, Superpower hits Kingambit and Mega Tyranitar much harder, exploiting their attempts to Pursuit trap Tornadus-T. Tera Steel allows Tornadus-T to withstand Psychic- and Dragon-type attacks from the likes of Tapu Lele, Dragapult, and Walking Wake in a pinch as well as Stealth Rock, while Tera Water provides a more solid overall defensive type with fewer exploitable weaknesses, as well as providing insurance against Volcarona. The given HP EVs maximize Tornadus-T's recovery from Regenerator, while the Speed EVs allow Tornadus-T to outspeed Iron Valiant. Tornadus-T fits best on bulky offense and offense teams that appreciate its ability to withstand powerful special attackers while keeping momentum with U-turn. Wallbreakers such as Mega Diancie, Zamazenta, and Urshifu-R enjoy Tornadus-T as a fallback measure, switching into revenge killers like Tapu Lele and Dragapult. Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Gholdengo appreciate the extra insurance Tornadus-T provides against special attackers, allowing them to run more physically defensive and offensive sets, respectively. Tornadus-T's Stealth Rock weakness means it can be difficult to pivot into entry with hazards up, so it pairs well with solid hazard removal options such as Landorus-T, Rotom-W, and Great Tusk. The aforementioned Pokemon also make up for Tornadus-T's relative physical frailty, being able to check the likes of Mega Lopunny and Dragonite.
