So instead of writing a really long intro on what inspired me to make the team, i'll just jump straight into things! Because really, who wants to listen to that? You came here to rate the team not to learn everything about it, and its history xD
With that out of the way i'll now show the team at a glance! :DD

Alright first up, we've got Seismitoad!
Seismitoad @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Satk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Scald
- Earth Power
This portion of the team (the water type portion) has been inhabited by alot of different pokemon. Ranging from Clawitzer, to Alomomola, to Gastrodon. Now the reason i'm using Seismitoad out of all the others, is because Seismitoad can set up rocks, and it has access to Water absorb.
Now alot of you might think it's unorthodox to use Seismitoad as a defensive wall, seeing as it doesn't have any reliable recovery move. But i could not tell you just how wrong you are. I'm not saying that recovery is bad (i mean Seismitoad would only benefit from it), all i'm saying is that a pokemon can be a good defensive wall even if it doesn't have any reliable recovery!
I could drop a few examples right now: Steelix, Uxie, Claydol, Cobalion, Cofagrigus.
Those are some good defensive walls in RU that doesn't have preticularly reliable recovery, but they're still very viable! Not to mention that Water absorb kinda is recovery on its own!
Now as for what it contributes to the team, it's defintitely a good pivot switch versus most physical setup sweepers in the current RU metagame, and its amazing Water/ground typing paired with the amazing ability Water absorb, just blesses it in that aspect!
It's also a very good stallbreaker! I mean in 1v1 Alomomola would not stand a chance against this guy! One last thing worth mentioning is how amazing coverage Earth power provides!
2nd up we've got Amoonguss!
Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Spore
- Stun Spore
- Giga Drain
- Clear Smog
Oh Amoonguss, Amoonguss you just won't die <3.
So the reason why i picked Amoonguss on the team is because of how amazing synergy it has with Seismitoad. Not to mention Spore, Stun spore, Regenerator, and Clear smog xD.
And i also find it pretty hilarious when the opponent tricks Amoonguss....huh? You wanna know why? Because then the pokemon that tricked Amoonguss will take damage from the Black sludge :3
But in all honesty i'd much rather keep the Black sludge for myself :P.
And if it wasn't obious enough already, its main jobs are to; Induce sleep, be a sp.def wall, stop setup sweepers, paralyze stuff, and be an overall pain in the ass :3.
3rd time's the charm! Next up we've got Emboar!
Emboar (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Superpower
- Wild Charge
- Sucker Punch
(Yes! I will admit, Blame truth made wanna use it! So could we shut up about that now? Ok, Good!)
Wow, there are not alot of pokemon that can take a hit from this!
252+ Atk Choice Band Emboar Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Cofagrigus: 172-204 (53.7 - 63.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Emboar Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Cresselia: 196-232 (44.1 - 52.2%) -- 78.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
(fucking cress y u so bulky? -.-)
252+ Atk Choice Band Emboar Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Gligar: 144-171 (43.1 - 51.1%) -- 98% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
-1 252+ Atk Choice Band Emboar Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Hitmontop: 216-255 (71 - 83.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
After showing how much damage it dishes out, do i really need to explain it further?
I guess one other thing worth mentioning is how (when i'm not spamming Flare blitz) Sucker punch is so good for revenge killing all of those threatning fast sweepers!
[insert Heliolisk, Hitmonlee, Sharpedo, Tornadus, and Yanmega here]
Alright! 4th member is known as the current mvp of Ru, Escavalier!
Escavalier @ Assault Vest
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Iron Head
- Megahorn
- Knock Off
- Drill Run
Shut up about how everyone runs this >.<. I run it cause it's good! And i post the team cause it's good!
Oh Escavalier <3. So when i was done with the Water/Grass/Fire core of the team i figured a steel type would fit, and why not Escavalier!?
I mean this thing has excellent stats, excellent typing, and a couple of good moves to go with it!
This thing checks like 75% of the RU tier. Mainly due to the Assault vest! Oh right, and Knock off :P
And one thing i've also noticed is that (ironically enough) i don't have many Escavalier checks, but Escavalier takes care of that x)
Also, the synergy it has with the team is just fantastic.
We're nearing the end! only 2 to go! 5th member is Malamar!
Malamar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 198 HP / 252 Atk / 58 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Superpower
- Night Slash
- Psycho Cut
- Aerial Ace
So you're probably looking at the EV spread thinking "wait what? wtf? How did this guy get to rank #99 with such a retarded EV spread? 0_o".
Let me just say that the 58 Sp.def Evs simply is a preference of mine. If i want the pokemon to be somewhat defensive in a stat, i'd like it to reach atleast 300. And with the Assault vest it does just that!
Now you might also wonder why i picked Malamar out of other good Psychic types such as Reuniclus. I did so because i also wanted a dark pokemon, and you know Malamar is the only Dark/Psychic type, right?
I know Malamar doesn't have the greatest stats. But Contrary+Superpower+Assault Vest=Huge ass threat! (Spinda does not count! ^^)
And simular to Escavalier it also is a good check to a good portion of RU!
Ok! Last member! Almost done! Give it up for the 6th and final member Heliolisk!

Heliolisk @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Surf
- Focus Blast
So as soon as Raikou got banned i needed a replacement, and it took me about 5 seconds to decide who that would be...Heliolisk! :DD
This thing is such a good scarfer, and with an even better and wider movepoll, not to mention its ridicolously broken ability Dry skin!
And it's an excellent volt switcher an dthe fact that it gets Surf makes it even better in that aspect.
Because who wants to bring in a ground type when they'll get Surfed in the face?
It's also really good at cleaning up lategame!
Alright! That's it! I'm done! Awesome! :DD
Man if you read all of this, kudos to you!
Don't forget to rate it!! :DDD
With that out of the way i'll now show the team at a glance! :DD
