Azumarill and Mega-Heracross form my first successful team!

I started with an Azumarill and Heracross, for a good attacking duo.

I then added in something I wanted to try, a defensive Aegislash, so far, it's worked out well, other than the occasional bad switch-in on my part.

Then, I decided i needed something a little defensive to take fire-type attacks for my Aegislash and Hercross. I eventually decided on Rotom-W, but this is a mon on the team that needs reworking.

Next, I decided on a Mandibuzz and Landorus-T, to round out my coverage and situational ability.

So, there's my team at a glance. It could definitely use work. Right now, a major flaw I'm noticing is that I'm completely walled by gliscor. I'm sure there are more flaws, but that's why I'm here.

In-Depth look:

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Play Rough
- Superpower

Azumarill is the first half of my offensive duo, great to switch in on outrage locked mons, and against pretty much anything it resists. Play rough and Aqua jet are it's main STAB attacks, with superpower for coverage. Waterfall is rarely used, and I've been considering using a different move(no ideas yet) in it's place.

Heracross @ Heracronite
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Blast
- Close Combat
- Pin Missile

Heracross is the second half of my offensive duo, using skill link multi-strike attacks heavily to break substitutes and do solid damage. I opted for close combat and pin missile as it's primary STAB attacks, and EQ and rock blast for coverage. While Heracross isn't very bulky, it can typically take out slower mons than itself easily, but can take a hit or two if necessary.

Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SAtk / 20 Spe
Quiet Nature
- King's Shield
- Shadow Ball
- Iron Head
- Shadow Sneak

Aegislash is a mixed attacker, using Iron Head and Shadow ball as primary STAB attacks, and shadow sneak for priority. King's Shield is used primarily for scouting, while possibly lowering my opponent's attack.

Rotom-Wash @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest

Rotom-W is now using a more defensive set(suggested by Extremespeed7) to better wall a lot of threats, while still being able to deal decent damage and burn physical threats.

Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Careful Nature
- Defog
- Foul Play
- Toxic
- Roost

Mandibuzz's role in the team is primarily to wall threats Rotom can't effectively, while still being able to do damage through foul play. I use whirlwind to force out threats Mandibuzz can't effectively wall, while adding more stealth rock damage to my opponent's team, hopefully dragging out something weak to SR.

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Def
Naive Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- HP Ice

Landorus is my SR setter, but that doesn't prevent it from dishing out damage with EQ, having coverage in HP Ice, all while still having a scouting ability in U-Turn. All in all, Landorus is a solid mon who can switch in on an EQ, take an intimidate lowered hit, and deal solid damage, at least in my experience.

So, there you have it, I'm looking forward to some good tips on how to improve this team!

Based off your attacking core being azmurazill and Mega-heracross, who are two awesome Pokemon, I don't see the need for having Rotom wash, a decent specs set, as an attacking option. I would switch Rotom wash to a more defensive supporting set, and change aegislash to a specially mixed, biased attack set, who could really add great offensive synergy to your team.

Implementing your changes to Rotom and Aegislash, Rotom makes a lot of sense as a defensive mon, and aegislash would add excellent synergy as a mixed attacker, if that's what you're suggesting, i was a bit confused by the wording.

Running HP Ice over Superpower on Land-T for Gliscor, and the dragons

Run EQ over Bullet Seed because unless it has STAB, grass is a terrible attacking type. Running EQ allows you to get past other Aegislash which previously walled you to death.

cool team! you got everything down with the mons, but i'd recommend changing a few sets. I'd use a physically defensive rotom-w, to better handle talonflame and pinsir who look like big threats to your team. With this change, I'd suggest using specially defensive mandibuzz. I'm personally not a big fan of whirlwind, I'd rather use toxic or u-turn instead. I'd try running jolly on hera to get the jump on meta tar and +speed base 70s, and I'd also try running a more defensive landorus set. Finally, I'd suggest a slightly different aegislash set.
