TEAM B IS FOR BALANCE

I've been using this team for the past month, since I started playing again. It eventually peaked at 1st in the UU Ladder and now sits at 3rd with my alt "B is for Boobs". I guess this is a good time to retire it and try something new. Also, it's been a while since I posted a RMT :´)

The Lonely Lead

480.png

The Joker @ Lum Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 132 HP / 160 Atk / 216 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Zen Headbutt
- U-turn
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock

Uxie is a great lead, easily the most reliable I've found. Never failed to get Stealth Rock down in any match for me. I'm also not rushed to Stealth Rock: if a lead is threatening I'll switch out and use it on the many opportunities Uxie has to switch back in.

Those EVs make it so that I always outspeed enemy Roserade, unless scarfed and OHKO 4HP/0Def versions as well as easily 2HKO 252HP/0Def ones. This is very important for me since I'm not running a spinner and just can't let Roserade set up.

Thunder Wave is there mainly for Moltres and Absol, who are extremely threatening to any team.

The Tanking Duo

Highly Evolved @ Leftovers
Ability: Oblivious
EVs: 212 HP / 60 Def/ 4 Spd / 16 SAtk / 216 SDef
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Surf
- Psychic
- Slack Off
- Toxic

Lie Lie Lie @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 204 HP / 136 Atk / 56 Def / 112 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Iron Head
- Curse
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Modest Slowbro with lots of SDef and Curse Registeel.. Those two wall so many things it's not even funny. They both resists each other weakeness almost perfectly, forming the infamous 'Regibro' or whatever it's called.

Thanks to those EVs Slowbro becomes a very good Mixed Blaziken counter, and switches on Moltres/Special Arcanine much easier while still waling the fuck out Azumarill and fighters in general.

Registeel is the first of my pokes capable of sweeping. And oh boy, you wouldn't believe how many teams can't break that thing. Especially stall, if their Milotic is down, I have pretty much won the game.

The Ballin Trio

My Friend Jon @ Life Orb
Ability: Poison Point
EVs: 40 Atk / 216 Spd / 252 SAtk
Rash nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Earth Power
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Superpower

Tchi Cum Bah @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Brave Bird
- Facade
- U-turn
- Quick Attack

Amour @ Leftovers
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 56 HP / 240 Atk / 212 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Wood Hammer
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Substitute

Between those three guys I have pretty much all possible tanks/walls covered, and the offensive synergy between is brilliant. The three of them have very few counters and more often then not, when the said counter is eliminated they will sweep.

Swellow is a very good lure for Steels and Rocks, which are free switches for both Torterra and Nidoking. Torterra is countered almost exclusively by bulky grassers such as Tangrowth, Leafeon and Meganium: easily beaten by Swellow and Nidoking.

Why Nidoking over Blaziken? Toxic/Thunder Wave immunity + Toxic Spikes absorb, especially the Toxic Spikes absorb part as it totally ruins Torterra and Slowbro.

Swellow and Nidoking are both running standard sets, and while some of you may think "Why not Rock Polish Torterra?" that's because you probably never used the Substitute + 3 attacks set. Anyone who faced me knows how that Torterra can bring hell to a team, easily Subbing in the face of Registeel/Regirock without having the Sub broken, outspeeding Altarias/Milotics for the 2HKO with Stone Edge/Wood Hammer, etc. In short, don't tell me to change it if you don't know how it works.

Threat List
Will add this soon :)

Well, that is it! Sorry if the comments weren't detailed enough, I had a huge post ready and clicked 'Preview Post' only to have it all fucked up... Tough luck I guess!

So that is my team, hope you enjoyed the read :)

lol not me though xD.

No but in all honesty this is a totally solid team as far as i can tell as it has a winning record against me since that damn slowbro+registeel core just destroyed my old team.

The only 2 things i can see becoming a major pain are opposing rock polish torterra and houndoom.

Houndoom after a NP can OHKO or 2HKO this entire team and the only thing that can really stop it is swellow and it cannot afford a switch in to one of houndooms attacks.

Torterra on the other hand can do nearly the same thing; your only reliable switch being...uh..uxie?

But to be honest i cannot think of a single poke that counters these two well at all. Seeing as most houndoom counters(think milotic, chansey, poliwrath etc.) are all destroyed by torterra. Likewise most torterra counters....(hmm what does counter torterra anyways) umm like tangrowth or something are destroyed by houndoom. So i'll get back on this once i think of something.

This team is extremely fucking annoying. My normal team really had no chance against this, my anti-stall (which I put together just as the test ended :((() probably would have had a chance if I'd hit you.

The team has no obvious weaknesses, only unconventional sets combined with messed up prediction will cause it to lose, all in all, excellent.

Before I make any suggestions because this team is great, how do you manage to deal with Polish Torterra? Major threat your team and forcing out the likes of Slowbro and Registeel. One Polish can trouble you. I was just wondering.

Houndoom is in fact my biggest worry on this team, as it basically requires sacrifices if it's a NP version or extremely good prediction (or guessing) from me in case of Scarf/Specs one. The first time I see it I'll sacrifice whatever is less necessary to my team and force it out with Swellow, and from there I'll just avoid giving it any free switches as much as I can, via double-switching, Surfing with Slowbro or U-turning with Uxie. Stealth Rock helps quite a lot.

RP Torterra is somewhat easier, and somewhat rarer. If I can get my Torterra in on an EQ or RP I can KO it (mostly like resulting in a double KO, thanks to Wood Hammer recoil on both sides). Don't think I've ever big problems with it.

Both are my main worries, yes. Along with weather teams >.>'

To the guy who mentioned Mismagius, it is not a threat at all. Registeel is a great counter, Torterra can take a +1 Shadow Ball and OHKO, Swellow can revenge kill, Slowbro isn't OHKO'd, I think I'm pretty safe against it...
