Balanced Hail Team - TheSpeedyShaymin
Team Building Process
First off, I knew I was going to need a hail starter so of course, I went with Abomasnow. I had a few options on whether I wanted it to be offensive or defensive, and eventually went with the Subseed set because I knew what offensive Pokemon I would want and I didn't want Abomasnow to be one of them.
Next I knew I wanted to use Rotom-F as a special attacker, as it's typing offers amazing dual-stabs and coupled with it's offensive capabilities I knew it was going to be a great part of my team.
Now I needed a physical attacker to take out special walls such as Chansey. Preferably a choice attacker, like Mamoswine. Mamoswine is a great threat in UU, especially in hail.
Next I wanted a Spiker of some sort. I wanted it to be able to work with hail as well, which is why I went with Froslass.
Next I wanted a special wall to make up for some of my weaknesses, therefore, as the obvious choice, I went with Chansey :D. And with Froslass' fighting immunity it made quite a pair.
Now I needed a good match for Chansey, a physical wall with a resistance to fighting. Slowbro! Not only that, but he had a resistance to fire so it worked out perfectly.
Eventually I realized Froslass was just becoming death fodder again and again - and was only able to get up one layer of spikes. I finally made a ton of changes with my team.
First off, I replaced Froslass with Deoxys-D as he could fill in the spikes gap AND be an awesome physical wall.
Next I realized that I was now weak to fire once again, not only that but I needed a sort of middle-line of special and physical defense to complete the core, and so I went with one of the awesomest things in the UU Metagame, a bulky water. Milotic!
But my team was still not perfect, it still had some kinks in it that needed fixing, and therefore I asked for help here. Soon enough, Cap'n Dragan came to my team's rescue and helped it even further, he helped me realize that my team needed more offensive prowess, and that's where these changes came from. I needed more than just a fire resist, I needed something that could literally absorb the fire and use it to his advantage: Arcanine. I replaced Chansey with Arcanine because Chansey was becoming just dead weight with Milotic around. So I changed Mamoswine to a choice scarf set (Again, thanks Cap'n Dragan!) and made Arcanine a choice bander.
Yet, my team was still not as good as it could be. My team was wrecked by Stealth Rocks and no way to get rid of them, therefore I replaced Deoxys-D with Hitmontop.
Although Hitmontop was just there to get rid of Stealth Rocks then die. He really didn't have any value other than Rapid Spin which was bringing my team down. So I overhauled my defenses, and replaced Hitmontop with Cryogenal, and Milotic with Suicune. This created an almost unbreakable core and also allowed my core to be able to DO things, such as Rapid Spin, blizzspam, and actually kill stuff.

Abomasnow (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Blizzard
- Protect
Abomasnow is of course my hail starter, standard SubSeed Smogon set. I love this thing, it can restore HP so easily and cause rage quits like no tomorrow, and it almost always gets at least 1 kill with Blizzard, because people don't expect Abomasnow to be such a 'threat'. Pretty basic stuff here though.

Rotom-F @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Blizzard
- Thunderbolt
- Substitute
- Pain Split
Rotom-F is almost always the MVP of my team. It outspeeds everything except scarfers and can KO almost everything with it's stabbed, unresisted coverage. It's able to easily cause switches and use substitute, then continue to rape everything. As it's HP gets lower and lower, SURPRISE! Pain split comes out of no where and I'm back up to full health as you're lower in HP. This also helps me deal with Chansey, which would otherwise wall me.

Mamoswine (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Snow Cloak
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Crash
Soon after, I was given the suggestion to use a Choice Scarf Mamoswine instead of Choice Band. I was skeptical at first but after trying it I found it really helped my team out a lot. It outspeeds things that Rotom can't and revenge kills things easier. As well as still hitting like a truck. Earthquake and Ice Shard are my main attacks, a powerful STAB and a STABBED priority move with great coverage.
Previous Mamoswine set:

Mamoswine (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Crash
Standard Mamoswine here, I wanted a Choice attacker but I'm wondering if I should make it a life orb attacker. It KOes tons of things that Rotom can't, such as Chansey and other special walls. It is also a very good attacker in hail, not much else to say except that Mamoswine is awesome.

Arcanine (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Wild Charge
- ExtremeSpeed
My team needed more offensive prowess, rather than solely relying on my core to absorb hits and slowly kill off the opponents. I also needed more than just a fire resist, I needed something that could actually absorb the fire and use it to his advantage, which is where Arcanine came from. Arcanine can destroy opponents EASILY, with Jolly and Choice band Arcanine is fast enough to sweep yet has enough power to wreck the entire opponent's team. Flare Blitz uses Flash Fire boost to it's advantage, Close Combat rapes Chansey, Wild Charge kills bulky waters and ExtremeSpeed is there for extra revenge killing ability.
Previous Chansey Set:

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 76 HP / 252 Def / 180 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Seismic Toss
- Stealth Rock
Same old Chansey, takes hits like a boss and can sponge any special attack you throw at it. It provides tons of much needed Wish support as well as sets up rocks, which is also a big help. I love Chansey even though I hate facing it :P.

Cryogonal @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 36 SpA / 252 SDef / 220 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Blizzard
- Rapid Spin
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Recover
Cryogonal is an amazing addition to my team. Replacing Deoxys-D with it was a great decision and I think with the addition of Suicune it has created an even better core than Deoxys-D/Milotic. Cryogonal can take as many special hits as you throw at it, as well as rapid spin and blizzspam. Hidden Power Fire provides great coverage and makes it an even more threatening attacker. Recover is the best part about this set because it makes Cryogonal impossible to kill by special attacks, as it can just heal off any damage it might take.
Previous Deoxys-D Set:

Deoxys-D @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Night Shade
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Recover
Deoxys-D is a great part of my team, supporting not Milotic, but the rest of my team, setting up Spikes and sponging physical hits easily. Night shade breaks subs and does decent damage. Most people, for whatever reason, don't expect Taunt and I'm able to snag it with that. Recover is always awesome on walls.

Suicune @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Roar
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
Suicune completes my defensive core with Cryogonal. I usually want reliable recovery on walls, but Rest/Sleep Talk works wonders on Suicune, as it's able to take many physical hits with ease then surprise the opponent when I rest off the damage/status completely. Nothing, and I mean nothing can kill this beast. Scald does decent damage and threatens a burn on physical attackers. Roar wrecks the opponent that tries to set up, but I feel it would be more helpful with hazard support. Sleep Talk allows Suicune to not be completely dead while asleep, and that is why Suicune is such a beast.
Previous Milotic Set:

Milotic (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Toxic
I like to ALWAYS have reliable recovery on walls, which is why this core is nearly unbeatable. Milotic will not be OHKOed by anything, except for maybe my Rotom's thunderbolt :P. It's the glue that holds together my defensive core, and provides not only a fire resistance but well-needed toxic status. Milotic is amazing.
