ORAS OU Balanced team non-following common used stuff

Dragonite - weakness policy/ lum berry
Ability multiscale
Modest nature
252 spa 252 Spe and 4 hp
- ice beam
- Draco meteor
- roost
- extreme speed

I was think of the fact that there seems to be a good amount of lando-T leads out in ou and I had no really reliable check for them leading. I slapped ice beam for the idea of hitting flying types that I can't check with the rest if my team. Roost is to bring back multiscale after it's been broken. Draco meteor is for dragon type coverage and STAB. Extreme speed is for priority and extra damage if I get the weakness policy off.

Gallade - galladeite
Jolly nature
252 Atk 252 Spe 4 def
- swords dance
- drain punch
- poison jab
- knock off

I chose gallade for this spot when I was having trouble finding a good physical mega. Gallade had great speed and attack capabilities and add swords dance to that and you have a great physical sweeper. Swords dance is to bring up his great attack stat to make him a more efficient sweeper. Drain punch is to replenish the health he has lost while fighting and is STAB. Knock off is a filler moves and knock off is almost always needed these days. Poison jab over zen headbutt for fairy coverage.

Scizor - life orb
Ability technition
Impish nature
252 def 252 hp 4 Spd
- roost
- bullet punch
- u- turn
- brick break

I chose scizor for this spot for his physical bulkiness. He is centered to take the physical punishment the enemy may use. Scizor is also very helpful in the fact that I can swap out safely from sylveon to him on poison types. Can't really find a good physical wall that I can work with yet, he has worked decently so far.

Sylveon - leftover
Nature calm
Ability pixilate
252 hp 252 Spd 4 spa
- heal bell
- protect
- wish
- hyper voice

Sylveon is my cleric and healing support. The hyper voice is the choice STAB and the common wish protect. I saw that there are multiple status runners in this tier and heal bell is to clear any chance of them wearing my team. There might be a better way to use wish/ protect or a better choice all together but that's what I decided to go with.

Volcarona - shell bell
Ability, Flame body
Nature - Timid
252 spA 252 Spe 4 hp
-Quiver dance
-Fiery dance
-Bug buzz
-roost

i was recommended volcarona as a replacement for alakazam as my special sweeper, it has done wonders so far and has proven itself to be the best choice for its position. volcarona usually becomes my win condition because of the setup capabilities with quiver dance. the only real threat i have come up against is mega-sableye and heatran. the main use of volcarona is a special sweeper and the fiery dance is also a set up with the chance to raise your special attack another level.

Kabutops - focus sash
Ability battle armor
Nature - jolly
Ev's 252 Atk 252 Spe 4 def
- Aqua jet
- swords dance
- rapid spin
- stone edge

I chose Kabutops for the priority aqua jet and the rapid spin capabilities. I was having a hard time bringing in rapid spinners/ defoggers and so far he has hit the bill. Between him and dragonite they are my leads of choice to surprise the enemy. Stone edge and aqua jet are stab and swords dance is for setup.

Dragonite should not be modest. I understand that it has a great move pool and it was begging you to make it special. Don't listen to it.
This is a modest Salamence 331\275\197\350\196\299 compared to
Dragonite's modest stat line of 323\273\226\328\236\259

They both have great access to special attacks, but if you aren't investing in Dnite's Hp or defenses then you may as well run Salamence. Another big part of their identity is DD. Not applicable in special sets making an already slow pokemon fodder.

Just something for you to consider. I'll keep calculating sets for making them viable.

If a modest salamence or naive should come into play what should I go with for a moveset? I chose dragonite for ice beam landorous coverage and multiscale setup options.

You're going to run Fire Blast and ice beam along with ExtremeSpeed and Draco Meteor.

252+ SpA Salamence Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 360-424 (102.2 - 120.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA Salamence Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 8 SpD Landorus-T: 456-540 (119.3 - 141.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
