Balanced Team

Aliright this is a balanced team. This is also my first team that I didn't have any outside help on so here goes.

Jirachi
Item: Choice scarf
Nature:Jolly
EV's:80hp/252atk/176spe

Iron Head
Trick
Stealth Rock
U-Turn

Description:The lead and In my opinion one of the best there is. I chose it because of its ability to effctively deal with the common suicide leads like Azelf and Aerodactyl by taking advantage of Serene Grace in junction with Iron Head to 2HKO and more than half of the time before they lay down their Stealth Rocks. I also chose it because it's NOT a suicide lead it can come back later in the game to lay down S-Rocks and deal with Tyrannitar quite effectively.Trick can seriously reduce the usefulness of pokemon like Bronzong and Hippowdon too. and U-Turn is to escape from the fire types and Magnezone effectively.

Gyrados
Item:Leftovers
Nature:Adamant
EV's:156hp/108atk/100def/144spe

Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Stone Edge
Taunt

Alright Now I've got my lead now I needed a pokemon that would cover it's weaknesses and knew that Gyrados would be perfect. His typeing allows him to resist fire attacks aimed at Jirachi and Metagross's Eq's don't hit him at all. so after coming in to absorb those attacks he can usually get a free Dragon Dance in while they switch or stay and die.And for poke's that would like to setup on him Taunt effectively prevents it.

Hitmontop
Item:Leftovers
Nature Adamant
Ability:Technichian
EV's:252HP/252Atk/4Def

Rapid Spin
Foresight
Close Combat
Sucker Punch

Ok so now I have to handle Gyrados weakness to rock types and I'm in need of a Rapid Spinner because none of my pokemon really like to come in to that especially Charizard who loses 50% of his Hp to it, And Hitmontop fit this roll perfectly. He can rapid Spin even on spin Blockers due to forsight he has a powerful stab in Close combat and has nothing to fear fron ghosts or Psychic types due to Sucker punch.

Dusknoir
Item:Leftovers
Nature:Impish
Ability:Pressure
EV's:252HP/28Atk/228Def

Will-o-wisp
Pain Split
Thunder Punch
Ice Punch

Alright now I had a Rapid Spinner a Spin Blocker seemed necessary at this point too I would want to keep my stealth rocks wouldn't I? Also Hitmontop still had that gaping weakness to Flying.I knew I would want a phazer at some point in every battle and some of the Dusknoirs I've seen in other peoples teams did the job quite well. So I decided to give it a try. I started by choosing a status inducer and I thought... everyone expects poison so I went with will-o-wisp and then attacks and a quick look at his movepool told me he had something reminiscent to the BoltBeam combo and I had no Ice or Electric on the team yet. so I took those thinking it would add to the unpredictability of the overall set.Lastly I saw that the poke lacked a recovery and I thought that I could use painsplit to do some Recovery and aggravate the opponent.

Charizard
Item:Petaya Berry
Nature:Timid
Ability:Blaze
EV's:4Def/252SpA/252Spe

Sunny Day
Substitute
Fire Blast
Solar beam

Now I needed some real power but I wanted the unpredictability that my team still had quite a bit of and browsed the pokedex for like and hour then I thought of Charizard..hes powerful ,he is fire type which is something I knew I would need and he is a powerhouse so after looking through movesets I decided to go with the Petaya sunny day combo since I could be defensive but retain all of Charizards brute force. with the Petaya and sunny day and Blaze I figured there wasn't much Charizard couldn't KO and water types would have a lot harder time breaking my subs with the sunlight. while I could sit back and Blast them with solarbeam.

Gliscor
Item:Leftovers
Nature:Impish
Ability:Sand Veil
EV's:252hp/216spe/40def

Swords Dance
Roost
Earthquake
Aerial Ace

Lastly I knew I wanted a well rounded pokemon that could fill multiple slots and my friend Aarons Gliscor was the first thing I thought of, It could heal attack and it could take a hit. and it's weakness was Ice which Charizard and Gyrados could easily handle. Plus I realized it would be foolish to not have a poke that carry's Earthquake. and after that Aerial Ace was my obvious choice due to the lack of flying type moves on the team and being Stab for Gliscor.

Well this is it please do your best I am kinda new to competitive battleing my friend taught me about it and helped me make my first team which wasn't worth putting up here, but now I have one that actually did well on shoddy so I figured hey why not?

You are really weak to just about any form of sweeper Rotom. Most versions have both Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball. Between those two, Rotom-A does good damage to everyone on your team, and hits half super-effectively. The most common forme, Rotom-H generally carries Overheat, which will easily take down Jirachi. The only thing you have against Rotom-A is Hitmontop, who is very easily taken out by Scizor, and many other things.

Really I don't think you need spin-support that much. There's something else I'm going to suggest. Charizard doesn't seem to be doing anything. Fire/Grass can't touch a single Dragon-type outside of Flygon. With Salamence and Latias being all over the current metagame, your sweep will very often be ruined. Besides. You need two turns for setup. One for Sunny Day, and one to start subbing. Especially without Heat Rock, your sun won't last long. That is why only 1 sun-user is bad without others to benefit. Charizard, with terrible typing, let alon 4X stealth rock weakness, is just not fit for OU play.

Another weakness I see is to DD Gyarados with Stone Edge, which is very common. Again, you have one possible counter in Dusknoir, but he can't take 2 +1 Waterfalls. I would suggest, to cover these weaknesses, your own Scarf Latias in place of Charizard.

Latias @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 Sp Atk / 252 Spd / 4 Def

- Draco Meteor / Dragon Pulse
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
- Trick

This will give you insurance against many threats, including the likes of DD Gyarados and Salamence, Rotom, etc. Be careful that you don't switch in on Shadow Ball with Rotom. With the need of Spin support gone, you can replace Hitmontop.

With the addition of Latias though, you become very Pursuit weak. So, instead of Hitmontop I suggest SD Lucario, or maybe a Resttalk Machamp.

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
Nature: Adamant / Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 Def

- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Crunch
- Extreemespeed

OR

Machamp @ Leftovers
Ability: No Guard
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd

- Dynamic Punch
- Payback
- Rest
- Sleeptalk

For Lucario, he is much more prone to a sweep than Machamp, and is much less susceptible to Bullet Punch from Scizor. Lucario though is again weak to Rotom-H. Machamp, however is not. He is able to stand up to Rotom's attacks with better overall defenses, and hit back with Payback. Dynamic Punch hurst everything but Ghost types, because, even if they resist it, they become confused. The bonus is with Sleeptalk. Machamp becomes a nice status absorber, and can also pad DP's PP with Sleeptalk.

Do what you will with this rate. Good luck, and now back to my English paper.
