So I've been building up another account since Smogon's Shoddy server went down and lost me five battles, decimating my raising rating. I was at around 5-0, and then I got paired up with remix01, who I'd never battled before, so I prepared my mind and got ready for the battle.
It may not be the best or most exciting warstory, but I thought it was decent enough to post. If you don't, then sucks for you ;).
My Team:
Remix's Team:
- My Pory2, Gyarados, Gliscor, and Jirachi have Lefties, along with Remix's Magnezone and Celebi.
- My Heatran and Deoxys-S have Life Orb, as well as Remix's Gengar, Gyarados, Heatran, and Mamoswine.
- Leftovers will be omitted after the first occurrence
- Comments during the battle will be left as is
- My comments on the battle will be in Italic.

remix01 sent out Gengar (lvl 100 Gengar ?).
bam_ur_dead sent out Porygon2 (lvl 100 Porygon2).
Porygon2 traced Gengar's Levitate!
Porygon2 used Magic Coat.
Gengar used Substitute.
My first thoughts were to either Hypnosis or Recover, as most Gengar leads either predict the Magic Coat and Focus Blast for around 80%, or predict a T-wave/attack and Hypnosis. I decide to Magic Coat, as most of my opponent's use Hypnosis, but to my surprise, Gengar subs up. That leaves me with a couple options:
- Stay in and see how much damage he does, and then Recover it off
- Switch in something that can take Focus Punch, Shadow Ball, and probably Thunderbolt with ease, and then attack to get rid of his sub and scare him out
---
Gengar is tightening its focus!
Porygon2 used Recover.
Gengar used Focus Punch.
It's super effective!
Porygon2 lost 57% of its health.
Gengar lost 10% of its health.
Porygon2's leftovers restored its health a little!
Porygon2 restored 6% of its health.
Looking back, I should have just Ice Beamed. I completely forgot at that moment that Focus Punch had negative priority, but aside from that it didn't really make a difference. I luckily learned, though, that his Gengar was holding a Life Orb, meaning that it would quickly be KOd what with him Subbing and attacking about.

remix01 switched in Celebi (lvl 100 Celebi).
bam_ur_dead switched in Gyarados (lvl 100 Gyarados ?).
Gyarados's intimidate cut Celebi's attack!
I decided to switch in Gyarados to Intimidate him before he could sub up again if he had chosen to do so, but I ended up being at a disadvantage as Remix switched in one of the better known counters for Gyarados.
---
bam_ur_dead switched in Heatran (lvl 100 Heatran ?).
Celebi used Thunder Wave.
Heatran is paralysed! It may be unable to move!
Not wanting to get Paralyzed so early in-game, I switch to one of the best Celebi counters out there: Heatran. Thankfully I run the ResTalk set, so Paralysis doesn't hamper me to much. Not quite sure if he has a Heatran yet, I decide to Lava Plume anyways, but luckily...
---
remix01 switched in Heatran (lvl 100 Heatran ?).
Heatran is paralysed! It can't move!
...I'm fully-paralyzed and he doesn't get that boost that could wreak havok on my team. Now I know he has a Heatran, but I'm not sure if it's Scarfed, Specsed, or just a Taunt or ResTalk set like mh own. I do one of the only things I could at this time - switch in Gyarados. Porygon2 is at too low health to survive two Earthpowers, and I'm not willing to risk switching in in case uses some obscure Hidden Power predicting a switch of some sort.

remix01: alright
bam_ur_dead switched in Gyarados (lvl 100 Gyarados ?).
Gyarados's intimidate cut Heatran's attack!
Heatran used Earth Power.
It doesn't affect Gyarados...
Ah...he's seen my RMT...well, can't complain, I posted it so that others would see it, and it did it's job I guess. Now I just have to duke it out with somebody who knows the ins and outs of my team. Fortunately, he used Earth Power, letting my Gyarados to come in pain-free. I'm still not sure what item he's holding, but I know he won't stay in, so I Dragon Dance up so that I would outspeed the incoming Celebi.
---
Gyarados is already out.
remix01 switched in Celebi (lvl 100 Celebi).
Gyarados used Dragon Dance.
Gyarados's attack was raised.
Gyarados's speed was raised.
---
Gyarados used Taunt.
Celebi fell for the taunt!
Celebi used Thunder Wave.
Celebi can't use Thunder Wave after the taunt!
Yes, I run BulkyGyara and I'm proud of it. No 252 Atk and Life Orb for me, my friend! Anyways, TauntGyara still has its uses. Although it may not be that useful on Pokemon that are already in on you, I've found that it's a great way to shut down my opponent's Gyara counter, making it even easier to switch something of my own in to set up.
---
Gyarados used Dragon Dance.
Gyarados's attack was raised.
Gyarados's speed was raised.

Celebi used Grass Knot.
Gyarados lost 11% of its health.
bam_ur_dead's Gyarados fainted.
Well, that was just bad prediction on my part. Although Celebi can be classified as a pretty good Gyarados counter, it stands toe to toe with BulkyGyara if it gets Taunted after Gyara has a DD (and it doesn't attack while I Taunt), and I take advantage of it. A lot. Unfortunately for me, this Celebi runs quite a bulky spread, only allowing me to 3HKO it, where I've been able to 2HKO some before with a +2 Stone Edge. No matter, it's at low enough health to not be able to switch in much, and as long as I keep the pressure on and stop him from recovering, I shouldn't have to worry.
---
bam_ur_dead switched in Deoxys-S (lvl 100 Deoxys-e).
Deoxys-S is exerting its pressure!
remix01: you probably win now
remix01 switched in Magnezone (lvl 100 Magnezone).
Deoxys-S used Ice Beam.
It's not very effective...
Magnezone lost 18% of its health.
Deoxys-S lost 10% of its health.
Magnezone's leftovers restored its health a little!
Magnezone restored 6% of its health.
I send out Deoxys, expecting him to switch out, but since I'm not sure if he'd predict me and stay in, I Ice Beam anyways. Unfortunately, he switches in a Steel-type. I figure I could use Ice Beam again the next turn and predict a switch to Celebi, but I go with Super Power, just in case he tries to stay in and sub up (because I would put below 25% health).
---
remix01: well maybe not if i play it right
remix01 switched in Celebi (lvl 100 Celebi).
Deoxys-S used Superpower.
It's not very effective...
Celebi lost 11% of its health.
Deoxys-S's attack was lowered.
Deoxys-S's defence was lowered.
Deoxys-S lost 10% of its health.
Unfortunately, he outpredicted me again, leaving Celebi alive and..vegatizing?

It's super effective!
Heatran lost 40% of its health.
Deoxys-S's attack was lowered.
Deoxys-S's defence was lowered.
Deoxys-S lost 10% of its health.
I predict a switch to either Magnezone or Heatran the next turn, so I Super Power again. Sadly, it didn't do nearly as much damage as I would've liked, but now I know that it's either Scarfed or Specsed, because any defensive version would take nowhere that much damage from a -1, neutral-natured, 4 Atk-EVed, non-STAB attack.
---
Venom: thats new
Venom: lol
remix01: whats new?
bam_ur_dead switched in Porygon2 (lvl 100 Porygon2).
Porygon2 traced Heatran's Flash Fire!
Heatran used Earth Power.
Porygon2 lost 34% of its health.
Heatran lost 10% of its health.
Whoopsies, wrong again - he's Life Orbed, but still probably not a defensive version. I switch in Porygon2, not sure if he's going to Fire Blast or Earth Power (as I have two immunities to both) and eat it. Remix is really on a roll in his guessing game, but I'm glad I had switched in Pory2 rather than Heatran.

remix01 switched in Gyarados (lvl 100 Gyarados ?).
Gyarados's intimidate cut Gliscor's attack!
Gliscor used Earthquake.
It doesn't affect Gyarados...
I switch in Gliscor, keeping Pory2 for deathbait later on in the game. Looking back, I should've used Stealth Rock instead of Earthquake (as he knew I outsped him), but nobody can change the past, so w/e. I realize that Gyara can really cause me problems now, since Pory2 is at such low health (around 23%). I know that I could swith Pory2 in and negate his Dragon Dance, or just switch in Deoxys-S and pose an immediate threat, so I go for the latter.

bam_ur_dead switched in Deoxys-S (lvl 100 Deoxys-e).

Deoxys-S used Thunderbolt.
It's not very effective...
Magnezone lost 19% of its health.
Deoxys-S lost 10% of its health.
I knew that he knew that he had strong resistances to every one of my moves, and that he could KO me if I predicted wrong and Ice Beamed or whatever, so I played safe and Thunderbolted. Unfortunately, he wasn't as risky this round as he was in the last two good predictions he made, leaving me with a Deoxy-s that's starting to get weakened down due to Life Orb's constant recoil, and an opponent with a dangerous Magnezone at around 65% health.

Deoxys-S lost 10% of its health.
I Ice Beam, predicting a switch to Celebi, but even though his transmogrifying mass of plasma is no Celebi, 52% is more than enough to please me. I then hit it with my only STAB attack, just in case he switched something else in, so I would do the most damage possible with a not-very-effective attack. But he stays in and dies :).
---
remix01 switched in Mamoswine (lvl 100 Mamoswine ?).
bam_ur_dead switched in Jirachi (lvl 100 Jirachi).

A critical hit!
Jirachi lost 22% of its health.
Mamoswine lost 10% of its health.
Jirachi's leftovers restored its health a little!
Jirachi restored 6% of its health.
Argh, he switches in Mamo, easily powerful enough to finish off my weakened Dx-S with Ice Shard. I switch to Jirachi, and he gets an unneccesary crit. Now if he was Banded, I would've been able to easily set up a sub and CM up for a sweep, but he wasn't. With Life Orb, he could potentially rip through my team. I decided that the only option I had was to weaken it with Water Pulse enough so that Gliscor could then KO with Earthquake.
As a side note, Water Pulse is a great option on CMJirachi over HP Fighting, especially if you play WiFi. The 40% chance of confusion is as annoying as ParaFlinch Togekiss, and can effectively ruin their counters while also still hitting Tyranitar super-effective.

Well, when it really doesn't matter, I finally start making correct predictions. Most of his team is sufficiently weakened enough to die in one attack, but my man end-game sweeper is now at 10ish HP and will die next turn from the Life Orb recoil =\. I know I have a very slim chance if I play everything from here on right, but it's just that: a very slim chance. I figure this turn that he'd stay in and let Magnezone die, so I Super Power for the KO.

Eventually, I flinch him, then miss, and then Freeze him, which is really nice because at that time I was around 25% health, in KO range (I couldn't roost because then he'd hit me for twice as much damage).

Like I said, it was a very slim chance, and I almost had it. There was some great playing this battle, and I'm not so sure that I would've one had Remix not seen my RMT, as he's a great battler, and would've definately posed a threat. Anyways, on to the obglitory Slops and Props:
Props:
+ Deoxys kept him switching throughout the entire game, which is only nice (woulda been better had I gotten SR set up earlier while he switched to Gyara =\)
+ Gliscor did its job killing Gyarados, Mamo, and Heatran, and keeping Celebi at bay for a while
+ Other than a small mistake, we both played pretty well this battle
Slops:
- Jirachi did next to nothing, which is a shame, as it's easily one of the best end-game sweepers I've ever used
- Gyara died too early, when it could've easily swept his team (I run Stone Edge over EQ)
- My prediction sucked early in the game =\
Anyways, thanks for reading, and I hope you like the format ;).
It may not be the best or most exciting warstory, but I thought it was decent enough to post. If you don't, then sucks for you ;).

- Stay in and see how much damage he does, and then Recover it off
- Switch in something that can take Focus Punch, Shadow Ball, and probably Thunderbolt with ease, and then attack to get rid of his sub and scare him out

...I'm fully-paralyzed and he doesn't get that boost that could wreak havok on my team.

Whoopsies, wrong again - he's Life Orbed, but still probably not a defensive version.
