[SET]
name: Offensive Pivot
move 1: Liquidation
move 2: Flip Turn
move 3: Ice Fang / Psychic Fangs
move 4: Close Combat
item: Heavy-Duty Boots
ability: Swift Swim
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

With higher Speed than the likes of Noivern, Crobat, and Aerodactyl, high base Attack, good coverage, and access to Flip Turn, Barraskewda is a good option as an offensive pivot. However, due to its frailty and vulnerability to most revenge killers, Barraskewda faces difficulty sweeping teams. Ice Fang covers Noivern and Grass-types such as Roserade and Dhelmise. Psychic Fangs also KOes Roserade, hits Vileplume and Crobat harder, and removes screens. Close Combat's raw power helps Barraskewda deal with Cobalion more easily and weaken Gastrodon, Seismitoad, and Volcanion, which can block Flip Turn with their abilities. Double-Edge can be used over Ice Fang and Psychic Fangs to hit Golisopod the hardest, though its recoil is inconvenient. Heavy-Duty Boots gives Barraskewda more opportunities to switch in and pressure the opposition. An Adamant nature can be used on rain teams, where Barraskewda can also use Choice Band to maximize its damage and act more as a wallbreaker.

Barraskewda has a hard time dealing with bulky Water-types such as Gastrodon, so Grass-types such as Roserade are good teammates. However, it is also annoyed by Volcanion, which Noivern and Assault Vest Reuniclus can answer. Noivern can bring Barraskewda in with U-turn, and Reuniclus can help Barraskewda wear down walls with Future Sight and Knock Off. Fire-type wallbreakers such as Salazzle, Chandelure, and Darmanitan can help Barraskewda pressure Water-types and appreciate Barraskewda using Flip Turn as Grass-types switch in. Other pivots such as Raikou, Noivern, and Incineroar are good options for teammates. Incineroar, in particular, has Knock Off and Toxic to help Barraskewda weaken its checks. Barraskewda also loves Golisopod's and Roserade's Spikes support along with Knock Off users such as Incineroar and Assault Vest Reuniclus.

Due to its amazing Speed that allows it to outspeed With higher Speed than the likes of Noivern, Crobat, and Aerodactyl, high base Attack, good coverage, and access to Flip Turn, Barraskewda is a good option as an offensive pivot in the current metagame. However, due to its frailness and the fact that it's still forced out by First Impression Golisopod and Choice Scarf users such as Mienshao and Xurkitree frailty and vulnerability to most revenge killers, Barraskewda faces difficulty sweeping opposing teams. Ice Fang is a coverage move that enables Barraskewda to KO Noivern and hit covers Noivern and Grass-types such as Roserade and Dhelmise super effectively. Psychic Fangs is also an option that enables Barraskewda to KO Roserade, hit Vileplume and Crobat harder, and remove also KOes Roserade, hits Vileplume and Crobat harder, and removes screens. Close Combat's raw power helps Barraskewda is Barraskewda's strongest coverage move helping it deal with Cobalion more easily and weaken Gastrodon, Seismitoad, and Volcanion, which can block Flip Turn with their abilities. Double-Edge can also be used over Psychic Fangs/Ice Fang since it's Barraskewda's best move against Golisopod, but due to the lack of recoil, the other moves are preferable most of the time Ice Fang and Psychic Fangs to hit Golisopod the hardest, though its recoil is inconvenient. Heavy-Duty Boots gives Barraskewda more opportunities to switch in, (comma) helping it pressure the opposing team more easily and pressure the opposition. Jolly Nature allows Barraskewda to outspeed Noivern, Crobat, and Aerodactyl, as well as speed tie with an opposing Barraskewda. (fast mon using +spe is intuitive enough) An Adamant nature can be used in over Jolly on rain teams, where Barraskewda can also use Choice Band to maximize its damage and act more as a wallbreaker.

Barraskewda has a hard time dealing with bulky Water-types such as Gastrodon, thus so Grass-types such as Roserade are good teammates. However, it is also annoyed by Volcanion, which Grass-types don't switch into, thus Noivern and Assault Vest Reuniclus make for good partners since they check Volcanion, while answer. Noivern can bring Barraskewda in with U-turn, (comma) and Reuniclus can help Barraskewda wear down opposing walls with Future Sight or removing items with and Knock Off. Fire-type wallbreakers such as Salazzle, Chandelure, and Darmanitan can help Barraskewda pressure opposing water-types Water-types and appreciate Barraskewda baiting in Grass-types then switching out with Flip Turn using Flip Turn as Grass-types switch in. Other pivots such as Raikou, Mienshao, Noivern, and Incineroar are good options for teammates. Incineroar, in particular, has Knock Off and Toxic to help Barraskewda weaken its checks. Barraskewda also loves Golisopod's and Roserade's Spikes support along with Knock Off users such as Mienshao, Incineroar, Incineroar and Assault Vest Reuniclus. Knock Off support can also potentially remove opposing Choice Scarf, making it possible for Barraskewda to clean. (not a realistic scenario, scarfers shouldn't be knock absorbers)
