Swift Swim in conjunction with powerful STAB Wave Crash backed by a high HP stat to offset recoil makes Basculegion-M a premier rain wallbreaker in the tier. Choice Band is the preferred item for more power so long as it has pivots to fall back on, such as Pelipper, Ferrothorn, and Zapdos. Tera Water is the premier Tera option to pump as much power into Wave Crash as possible, allowing it to 2HKO even Water-resistant foes such as Rotom-W and Ferrothorn. Tera Water also removes its weakness to Sucker Punch from the likes of Hisuian Samurott and Mega Mawile, and it maintains its resistance to Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor, although it removes its immunity to Fake Out from Mega Medicham. This also leaves Basculegion-M susceptible to Wave Crash's heavy recoil damage, so Liquidation is used to mitigate this, and it should be used once Basculegion-M’s checks have been worn down in order to ensure that it does not KO itself with recoil. Basculegion-M thus benefits from an offensive partner like Mega Swampert, which can finish off threats weakened by Basculegion-M. Pelipper is necessary to set up rain for Basculegion-M and also serves as a pivot to give it a free switch, something Basculegion-M has trouble doing, as it prefers to preserve its HP for recoil. Other pivots like Eject Button Ferrothorn and Tornadus-T are also helpful to support Basculegion-M by giving a point of entry to start breaking.

Basculegion (M) @ Choice Band / Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
Tera Type: Ghost / Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wave Crash
- Aqua Jet
- Liquidation
- Tera Blast / Head Smash / Phantom Force / Psychic Fangs (cant think of what head smash hits that you dont wanna hit with water STAB instead)

(re tera ghost + tera blast: You really just wanna be clicking tera water buttons with this mon, tera ghost isnt worth it in most situations as opposed to the overall dmg output given by tera water)

Swift Swim in conjunction with powerful STAB Wave Crash, backed by a high HP stat to offset recoil, makes Basculegion a premier rain sweeper breaker (elective, but imo breaker fits better than sweeper since you are prone to taking yourself out of the game) in the tier. Choice Band is the item of choice for more power so long as it has pivots to fall back on, while Life Orb suits a more hyper offensive style since it does not lock Basculegion into a move. such as Pelipper, Ferrothorn, and Zapdos. Tera Blast in conjunction with Tera Ghost gives Basculegion a proper Ghost STAB, which it can abuse to 2HKO or even OHKO resists to Wave Crash, like Dragonite, Dragapult, Toxapex, Rotom-Wash, Ferrothorn and more. Tera Water is an the premier Tera option to instead pump as much power into Wave Crash as possible, being capable of 2HKOing even resists such as Rotom-W and Ferrothorn, and also sheds its weakness to Sucker Punch from the likes of Hisuain Hisuian Samurott or Mega Mawile, and also keeping its resistance to Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor; (try to mention somewhere in here how you lose immunity to Mega Medicham fake out) however, this leaves Basculegion susceptible to heavy Wave Crash recoil damage, thus Liquidation is used to mitigate this, and should be used once Basculegion’s checks have been worn down in order to ensure that it does not KO itself with recoil. (this is a very long sentence btw, id try to split it into 2 somewhere) Head Smash should be run when using Tera Water, as it can cover some water resists; Kyurem, Dragonite, and Dragapult are OHKOed by Head Smash, which is also Basculegion’s strongest neutral coverage, but it is also a heavy recoil move that may leave Basculegion at low HP and susceptible to priority. However, many checks that resist Wave Crash do not mind Head Smash much, like Tera Grass Heatran, Toxapex, Ferrothorn, Tera Water Garganacl, and Gastrodon. Basculegion thus benefits from an offensive partner like Mega Swampert which can finish off threats weakened by Basculegion. Pelipper is necessary to set up rain for Basculegion, and also serves as a pivot to give it a free switch, something it has trouble doing as it prefers to preserve its HP for recoil. Other pivots like Eject Button Ferrothorn or Tornadus-T are also helpful to support Basculegion by giving a point of entry to start breaking.
1/1 after implement gg

trial qc disclaimer blahblahblahblah

although this removes its immunity to Fake Out from the likes of Mega Lopunny and Mega Medicham.
Tiny QC thing - make sure to take Mega Lopunny out of this part since it can already Fake Out BascM prior to Tera Water. Great work overall!
