Basculin-Blue-Striped

[OVERVIEW]
Despite Utilizing Adaptability and a good Speed tier, it’s hopelessly outclassed by its counterpart; Basculin. While both are almost the same, Basculin- Blue-Stripe lacks reckless, which means it can’t bluff adaptability, and Reckless let’s Basculin to 2HKO water absorbers such as defensive Jellicent and Lanturn on the switch with a Banded Head Smash without Stealth Rock, while Basculin-Blue-Striped needs Stealth Rock to even 2HKO. Despite the Power difference, if you decide to use Head Smash, you don't need to worry about recoil. While you could use Basculin-Blue-Striped to a similar effect, you're better off using its counterpart because of its ability to bluff more effectively and greater power with Banded Sets.

[SET COMMENT]
It does everything that Basculin does but more predicable, Despite being able to last longer than it's counterpart, Basculin-Blue-Striped lack of bluffing potential and a weaker Head Smash makes it worse than Basculin.

Basculin already has an analysis up (see here), and the differences between its Base and Blue-Striped Formes are not significant enough to warrant another analysis, both in this current metagame and really in general. As such, I will be locking and moving this thread.

Please refer to this post if you are still interested in writing an analysis, it lists which Pokemon are and are not currently up for reservation among other important things.
