Hello! So a few weeks ago I asked for advice with a hyper offense team here, and now I want to see what I can improve on with this bulky(?) offense team. I'm not too good at building teams yet.
Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 28 Def / 228 SpD
Careful Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Taunt
- Brave Bird
Corviknight's main roles here are to defog entry hazards and to break stall with Taunt. Roost is here for recovery and Brave Bird in case I need to attack (Leftovers and roost can recover HP to compensate for recoil). However, I do want to fit in Bulk Up and U-Turn somewhere here but I don't know if it's worth replacing Taunt.
Zeraora @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Plasma Fists
- Volt Switch
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
Zeraora's here as my main physical wallbreaker and can also act as an offensive pivot with Volt Switch. He's also who I rely on for Dragapult as he outspeeds and OHKO's Dragapult with Knock Off. I prefer Close Combat here over Play Rough for coverage as it covers more weaknesses for the team.
Kyurem @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Ice Beam
- Freeze-Dry
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
Kyurem's role is a special wallbreaker. Draco Meteor is my main Dragon STAB, and Ice Beam for Ice STAB. Freeze-Dry is here to deal with waters (if vs a rain team I can predict a Kingdra/Ludicolo switch in and OHKO them). Earth Power is my preferred coverage move here as it lets Kyurem deal with Pokemon that Seismitoad couldn't.
Alakazam @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 28 Def / 228 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Dazzling Gleam
Alakazam can be used as both a special wallbreaker and a sweeper. With a Nasty Plot boost Alakazam OHKO's anything super effective, and with it's speed, it can be very hard to deal with. Dazzling Gleam is good coverage as no other Pokemon here carry Fairy type moves. Focus Blast, while unreliable, can be used in a pinch.
Seismitoad @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Scald
- Earth Power
- Knock Off
Seismitoad is my hazard setter, and I picked him over Excadrill because his typing fits better in my opinion. He can also burn with Scald, so that makes him good vs physical threats. Knock Off can be good for coverage, and Earth Power for STAB.
Togekiss @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Air Slash
- Roost
- Heal Bell
Togekiss' main role here is to cure status with Heal bell, as well as be a potential sweeper with Nasty Plot and Air Slash. Roost provides recovery, which can be useful in a pinch. Consecutive Air Slash flinches can be hard to deal with. (Although maybe Jirachi or something can fit in better with the team?)
