I was browsing the RMT forums a while ago, and found WebBowser's QuickPass Team. I loved that it used Greninja and Charizard X, and noticed that it only had 1 legendary on it, so if I could find a replacement for that, I could use it in my local league. With that in mind, I took his team, and modified it to fit my needs.
I've only gotten to mid 1500's with this team, but most of my losses are due to poor play on my part.
Scolipede @ Mental Herb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Baton Pass
- Protect
- Substitute
- Iron Defense
Scolipede is easily the best BP user in the game. Bulk over speed allows it to survive things it has no business surviving. Once Reflect and Light screen are up, it laughs in the face of any physical attacker and most special attackers (barring SE or crits).
Espeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 3 Atk / 30 Def / 30 SpA / 30 SpD / 30 Spe
- Morning Sun
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Stored Power
The prime abuser of baton passed def and speed boosts, Calm Mind and Stored power in combination with Magic Bounce to prevent phasing makes Espeon a no brainer. Recover would be nice, but that would make this guy even more broken. Once it has received a couple of Def boosts, it can set up CM in the face of pretty much any physical attackers (except TTar). HP fighting is pretty much exclusively for TTar and Bisharp.
Klefki (M) @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder wave
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Foul Play
This is my Screen setter. Prankster pretty much guarantees that I get both set up, as not much can OHKO through a screen. Thunder Wave to cripple opposing Mons. Foul Play is the best move for uninvested damage. Obviously inferior to Latios because it doesn't give free switches. If anyone has another suggestion for a good non-legendary dual screener lmk.
Greninja @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Extrasensory
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Grass Knot
Greninja is used as a revenge killer and wall breaker. It's great at forcing switches, but obviously has 4ms. I chose Grass Knot over HP Fire because I didn't really have a good way to deal with things like Quagsire, and Charizard can generally take down steel, grass, and bug types.
Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Dragon Claw
- Roost
This is a bulky version of the standard MegaZard X. Have been considering investing some in speed. Swords Dance over DDance because Scolipede can BP speed boosts. Once set up, Zard will tear through pretty much any team that doesn't have a phaser.
Wobbuffet @ Leftovers
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Encore
- Counter
- Mirror Coat
- Safeguard
Wobbuffet is very very good. Counter and Mirror Coat pretty much guarantee KOs, and encore allows me good setup opportunities. Safeguard gives me a temporary immunity to burns from things like Scald, making in it easier to setup.
Threats:
Phasers backed up by things like TTar
Fast taunt users
Trick users
