Baton passers and single hand sweepers.

This team doesn't exactly need to be played in UU, it's worked for me in OU for the majority of battle i have played with it. But for the time I do play in UU, this team works great for me. I am yet to come up against a counter that a see often enough but I do have slight troubles with weather teams and i don't have a roarer in my team. I also don't carry a entry hazard pokemon but I find no need for it as i go for 1 hit KO's most of the time.

Espeon

Ev's- 252 Speed, 252 Special Attack, 4 HP
Item-Focus Sash
Ability-Synchronize
Nature-Timid

Move1-Baton Pass
Move2-Calm Mind
Move3-Curse
Move4-Psychic

Extra-As a lead espeon brings speed, damage and baton passable abilities. Psychic is a powerful move that gets STABed to a decent move. By using calm mind/curse in turn with the focus sash, espeon can atleast get 1 stat boost if facing a sweeper lead, if the baton pass doesn't seem right, you can always just try and sweep with espeon itself. The main idea of curse is for Marowak and possible Tauros whereas calm mind works for espeon, Regice and Ninetails. Curse also provides a massive dent in trick room teams by giving them a taste of their own medicine.

Marowak

Ev's-252 Attack, 252 Def, 4 Hp
Item-Thick Club
Ability-Lightning Rod
Nature-Adamant

Move1-Earthquake
Move2-Focus Punch
Move3-Fire Punch
Move4-Outrage

Extra-The movepool here is pretty basic. Earthquake for STAB ownage, focus punch for walls such as blissey/chansey/togekiss (providing they don't attack), fire punch for scizor/forretress and stuff like that, and finally outrage for dragon types. This set comes hand in hand with the curse boost(s) from espeon aswell.

Regice

Ev's-252 Def, 132 Speed, 124 Special Attack
Item-Leftovers
Ability-Clear Body
Nature-Timid

Move1-Rock Polish
Move2-Ice Beam
Move3-Thunder Bolt
Move4-Flash Cannon

Extra-Since regice has a beast defence, special defence and special attack. When these stats are boosted by espeon from calm mind he is indestructable.... almost. Then with rock polish he becomes fast aswell. Fast+strong+tank+good moves=sweep..... I think

vj4ninetails.gif

Ninetails

Ev's-252 Speed, 252 Special Attack, 4 HP
Item-Wide Lens
Ability-Flash Fire
Nature-Timid

Move1-Hypnosis
Move2-Nasty Plot
Move3-Fire Blast
Move4-Energy Ball

Extra-Also a baton passable team member... but can hold it's own without espeon's help. With wide lens hypnosis is helped a little bit to make setting up alot easier. Nasty plot is then used to boost the special attack to a decent level and then sweeping with either fire blast or energy ball (wide lens again helping fire blast's accuracy). Fire types are the only real problem with this set but half of the team can help out with these types.

ani128.gif

Tauros

Ev's-252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Item-Life Orb
Ability-Intimidate
Nature-Jolly

Move1-Earthquake
Move2-Return
Move3-Outrage
Move4-Zen Headbut

Extra-Tauros with his life orb is a pokemon that can switch in when a team pokemon faints and usually can revenge kill with the high speed, attack and movepool. all of these moves are for power but also provide pretty decent type coverage. Return is only there for STAB reasons which goes up to 150ish base power.

ani067.gif

Machoke

Ev's-252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Item-Choice Scarf
Ability-No Guard
Nature-Jolly

Move1-Earthquake
Move2-Fire Punch
Move3-Bullet Punch
Move4-Dynamic Punch

Extra-Machoke is pretty much what machamp is but without the "(BAN ME PLEASE) muncher" label. with 100 base power he can do enough to hold his own but his speed hinders him greatly. That's what the choice scarf is for, even if it does lock him into one move. But that one move should be enough to either make faint........ or atleast confuse them enough to make them ragequit! I have been told to chuck a choice band on this thing but 45 speed just doesn"t do it for me so i prefer the scarf.

Final Note-Any comments/questions/improvements would be gladly accepted and taken into account to improve the team.

Cheers for taking the time to look at it.

on marowak and tauros, please remove outrage...

Outrage as a coverage move: the only thing weak to outrage is UU is altaria, who is hit by stone edge as well

outrage as a powerful move: return on tauros and earthquake on marowak are 30 base points higher in power than outrage

so use stone edge on both of these pokemon, it offers infinitely better coverage

EDIT: ok I concede that if someone were to use shelgon or gabite, then outrage does more, but those two are rarely if ever seen compared to moltres, swellow, and scyther

I mainly use this in the regular ladder since OU battles seem to flow better but thats probably a much better idea for UU, cheers

I would use a baton-passing gligar in place of espeon. While gligar cannot pass much to ninetails or regice (besides speed)...it can pass speed, which marowak REALLY needs.

Gligar @ focus sash
Timid
252hp 4def 252 speed

Taunt
Agility
Swords Dance
Baton Pass

While this ruins your plan against trick room teams (outside of taunting them so they cannot set up trick room) it helps against all of the pokemon that will outspeed marowak (which is a lot of pokemon).

Also, what is the main idea of this team? Is it to set up with espeon and then sweep with whoever the recipient is? or what?

Marowak needs stone edge/rock slide, and Rock Head. Replace outrage and focus punch with double edge and stone edge/rock slide. In NU espeon is pretty much top dog so pursuit on tauros could help you. Everything resisted by return (in NU) is also resisted by outrage, so it is not needed.

If you really want to use this in OU...use ninjask for a baton pass to marowak with ice punch/fire punch/earthquake/stone edge.

In OU, T-tar kills every pokemon on your team if the pokemon doesn't have a speed boost.
In UU, Spiritomb kills espeon and burns marowak and tauros.
In NU, Medicham kills all but espeon. Skuntank pursuits your espeon into oblivion.

I dont see any good reason for Tauros and Marowak to have Outrage,it only hits one Pokemon in the tier for super effective damage, and your STAB attacks are much more powerful. Now about Espeon Curse doesn't seem like a good option,if you try to Curse against an opposing lead they will most likely break your sash, then you will be slower and they will kill you next hit and you wouldn't have baton passed anythong, even if you manage to Baton Pass Curse Marowak is the only one who can benefit from it,but Marowak can learn SD so that doesn't sound worth it. Now your team seems to be walled completly by Milotic,so i recommend you replace Flash Cannon with Toxic on Regice to wear Milotic down easy.

Hope i helped,gl.
