Okay, Before I start competetive battling I wanted to try my hand at battle tower, mainly for practise on Ev spreads, move combinations ect ..
This is what I have come up with so far ..
My lead is ..
Primeape @ Muscle Band Ability : AngerPoint.
Nature : Adamant Ev's : 252Atk/252Spe/4Hp
- Rock Side - U-turn
- Cross Chop - karate Chop
Okay, I chose primeape because he's possibly my favourite pokemon in the game and I wanted to use him. I chose that EV spread because I wanted to utilise his high speed and attack. He outspeeds near enough every pokemon I have come across in battle tower at the moment.
He covers his psychic weakness with a very powerful U-turn and his flying weakness with rockslide.
I need to replace karate chop, im thinking of replacing it with Earthquake or taunt.

Skarmory@ Leftovers Nature : Impish
Ev's : 252hp/128Def/128spe
- Taunt - Toxic
- Roost - Whirlwind.
Okayyy, I have chosen skarmory with this moveset for 2 reasons, firstly, for primeape to switch into if i predict a physical attack he cant deal with coming and secondly, to pass on poison and take hits whilst the opposing pokemon slowly die.
The ev spread chosen allows skarmory to take these hits well whilst still being fairly fast.
skarmory's fire weakness is covered by primeapes rock side and his electric weakness will be covered again by primeape when he learns EQ.
Hypno@ Leftovers ability: Insomnia
Nature: Calm Ev's: 252SpA/128Spe/128SpD
- Psychic - Reflect
- Nasty Plot -Wish
I chose hypno because I needed a pokemon with a strong special attack just incase i run into a physical wall that primeape nor skarmory's stalling can deal with. His ability insomnia is also useful because getting put to sleep is a PAIN!
Anyways .. Reflect to raise defences coupled with his good defences anyways, means he can plot up and hopefully sweep with psychic. Wish for the heal.
His dark and bug weakness is covered by primeape once again, his ghost weakness covered by psychic.
So far i have gotten a 14 win streak then got destroyed, so suggestions pleasee?
