Battle Tower team help?

So I'm working on a BT Singles team and not having much luck... the highest I've been able to go is around 40-50.

Flygon @ Choice Band | Levitate
Adamant | 252 Atk, 176 Spe, 80 HP
Earthquake / Crunch / Dragon Claw / U-Turn

My lead. Usually my first move is a U-turn out, honestly. I bring him back in later, after I'm sure I've gotten rid of the ice and dragon users. I end up going with earthquake a LOT, mainly because of the extra power.

Lapras @ Damp Rock | Water Absorb
Modest | 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Spe, 4 HP
Rain Dance / Thunder / Ice Beam / Attract

Between Thunder's Paralysis and the lucky attract (depending on gender) she can incapacitate a pokemon fairly easily. A lot of times I'll stick to ice beam for the first bit, and the RD when it looks like she's not going to last.

Kingdra @ Life Orb | Swift Swim
Adamant | 252 Atk, 232 Spe, 24 HP
Dragon Dance / Outrage / Waterfall / Hydro Pump

She does what she does well. Comes in on Lapras's Rain Dance, sets up a DD or two, and wreaks havoc.
......................

I don't know if it's just the hax of battle tower or what, honestly. This team does pretty well competitively, but when I try for a battle tower run it ends up failing spectacularly. The last straw was when a Venomoth single-handedly took down my entire team in battle 20. >.< Sleep powder + Attract on the two girls, my attacks never touched him. Anyway, wondering if anyone had any moveset changes or switchout pokes that might help, since Battle Tower's my last star for my trainer card.

I tried running sing on Lapras, and Fire Punch on Flygon, but neither really seemed to make a difference. Then I tried RD on Kingdra and switching Lapras to a choice specs Thunder/IceBeam/Surf/Psychic and she did okay, but kingdra was walled by anything with a halfway decent defense, and between having to set up both RD and DD she never lasted long enough.

Please read the rules as this thread is currenlty breaking rule 3:
RMT rules said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.
