Battle tower team.

So far, I am using this for a Battle Tower team:

121.png

Starmie Lead @Choice Specs
Timid: 252 SpAt / 252 Spe
Natural Cure
Psychic, Surf, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam

Usually I sweep with this guy. Shed is the only guy who resists my whole moveset. Hopefully Shed will be the last guy on the opponent's team if it's present at all. If so, I will sacrifice Starmie to its STAB and use Starly's Wing Attack, even from Level 1.

Lucario @Life Orb
Naive: 252 At / 252 SpAt / 6 Spe
Inner Focus
Extremespeed, Bullet Punch, Vacuum Wave, Sword Dance

Mixed all-priority Lucario. Naive is probably the wrong nature (I preferably wanted Rash), but at least that can surprise faster Fakeouts or something (but I cannot flinch from 'em anyway). Plus, that was the only breed I got with the right IV's (at least in SpAt, and I'm pretty sure Attack as well).

Starly Lv1 @Focus Sash
(EVs and nature do not matter)
Keen Eye
Endeavor, Double Team, Wing Attack, Quick Attack

FEAR Starly. I already have another priority user in Lucario, but Level 1 Endeavor is really easy to get (plus, since Palmer's Milo has Shell Bell over Leftovers, I get Endeavor off after Shell Bell instead of before Leftovers, and this guy can ruin just about anyone's day anyway, especially the Shedinja that show up in front of Starmie).

So far, this team has gone past first Palmer meet, but lost since. Is there any way I can improve this team?

By the way, speaking of Level 1 Endeavor, I actually defeated an entire trainer's party with Level 1 Endeavor Smeargle, with only a Level 1 Hippopotas and a Level 1 Ralts for support. Ralts had Trick Room with Focus Sash. Smeargle had Quick Claw.

Starly Lv1 @Focus Sash Just lose this guy

The reason your losing past Palmer, first round is because up to Palmer first round the battles are EASY. Your were fighting N.F.E.s or Not. Fully. Evolved. pokemon.

Now for my advice, this team has no solid strategy and is just a punch of different ideas meshed into one.

Starmie should be holding life orb, not Lucario, for starters. Starmie is meant to be a versatile sweeper and choice items prevent you from utilizing this versitality while Life Orb boosts your power and allows many more one hit KOs much quicker. Lucario is too frail to switch in on anything, especially an Earthquake or just about any move it doesn't resist considering it's low defenses.

LOSE THE STARLY. Why? It's just a novelty pokemon b/c it's a FEAR strategy pokemon and tyranitar and Abomasnow mean you lose, trick room, endeavor, quick attack or not. One hp means you lose against sandstorm and hail.Period. Also, other priority strikers would kill it as well as quick claw users.

If you want to use Starmie then I can recommend a team to you. It's jumpman16's: Starmie, Tyranitar, Garchomp team. Here's a link
http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=531763&postcount=135.

If you want more team ideas here's another link of teams that SUCCESSFULLY reacher 100 and even 200 to more than 450 wins. But I warn you, these teams aren't easy to make. http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29425

By the way, if your new to the whole batte tower scene considering your team(maybe your not >_<), I'll tell you this much, expect MAJOR HAXXING from the tower.
