Lucario(*) [Rico] (Male)
"Hey, did you ever watch Giga Woman vs. Ghydrei? You know that part where she ripped the Tokyo Tower out of the ground and chucked it at him?...Yeah, what I'm about to do is something like that."
Ben's beloved sidekick. If one could describe this snarky Lucario's fighting style in a single word, it'd be "flashy." Seriously, when your idea of using Bone Rush involves smacking a foe with a colossal sword made of aura, how could it not be?

Scunner - Crucibelle (F)
Crucibelle%20Front_zps68skzh7w.png

Threat category IV. Scunner's shell armor as well as her resilient bio-fluids allow her to take great amounts of damage in the most severe, toxic environments. she has a purple bioluminous glow throughout it's body.

Nature: Naive (+Speed, +% Accuracy, -SpDef)

Type:
Rock type: Rock STAB; Adds an additional level of Priority (+0 to +1, +3 to +4 etc.) on naturally occurring level-up, egg, tutor, or TM attacks that increase only defense, special defense, or prevent damage (Full list: Acid Armor, Amnesia, Barrier, Defense Curl, Detect, Quick Guard, Harden, Iron Defense, Light Screen, Reflect, Skull Bash, Stockpile, Wide Guard, Withdraw). Reduced damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm, immune to Sandstorm damage. Ignores Arena restrictions on Rock attacks requiring an external rock source.

Poison type: Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic status. Absorb Toxic Spikes on switch-in unless Flying-typed or using the ability Levitate. -- Accuracy when using Toxic, Poison Gas, or Poison Powder, hitting even during Dig, Fly, etc. Ignore Fog's accuracy reduction.

Abilities:
Ability 1: Regenerator
Type: Passive
When Scunner is switched out during a switch battle, her bio-luminescence reacts to the energy in the Pokeball and (ten) 10 HP is restored. When Scunner Chills, she restores six (6) HP in addition to its 12 Energy.

Ability 2: Mould Breaker
Type: Passive
Whenever Scunner attacks, she emits an invisible, blindingly quick pulse preceding the attack that disables the opponents natural abilities. (e.g. Levitators plummet towards the ground before Earthquake hits, etc.) Attacks are still redirected by Lightningrod/Storm Drain, but damage is dealt normally. Status-immunity abilities such as Limber will remove their relevant status at the start of the victim's next action.

Ability 3: Liquid Ooze (Unlocked)
Type: Passive
Scunner's body is covered in a slimy poison that when drained by Leech Seed or another draining move, damages the opposing Pokemon for the amount that would have been healed.

Mega%20Crucibelle_zps66uyluwh.png

Ability 4: Magic Guard (Mega-Evo only)
Type: Passive
Scunner is infused with a powerful psycho-electric energy that makes her immune to damage from Spikes, Stealth Rock, Hail, Sandstorm, Leech Seed, Poisoning, Burn, and Partial Trapping moves. She can still attack herself in confusion, and will still take damage from it. Additionally, the energy protects her from its own reckless recoil attacks. Toxic still increases in damage each round, although if Magic Guard is in effect, she will not suffer any damage. Life Orb recoil is negated.

I'm dumb.

Sending in Scunner the Crucibelle with an Everstone.

Crucibelle:
Stealth Rock --> Gunk Shot --> Gunk Shot
IF Gourgeist is under the effects of D/E when you are to attack, THEN use Toxic first instance, Sandstorm second instance, pushing back.
IF Gunk Shot is disabled when you are to use it, THEN use Shadow Ball.
IF Gourgeist is to use Gyro Ball inside or outside of a combo, THEN use Protect that action and push back. [NONCONSECUTIVE]

Liking the first two subs. The third seems...well I have no reason to be defensive like that. This matchup isn't bad for me.

If my pokemon has D/E moves, I suggest you check if there is a way for me to be faster and use said move to evade your attacks. If there is a way, that thing should be on the top of the list of things to sub against.

There is another sub you forgot. But in the best interests of moving this forward, I will just let you understand what the lack of it means in practice.

Lesson 1: After you finish the main orders, before you post, check every single one of the moves of your opponent's movepool to see if any can screw you over. Eventually, with time, you will be able to figure out which moves can do that beforehand and that search will be easier as you will already know what to look for. But until you had that much experience (or even: if you are fighting a more serious match), be sure to check every single when of them, including in that thought process, the possibility of speed raise, decrease or Trick Room.

While this matchup is good for me, Gourgeist is better paired with Lucario, so I'll switch.

Remember your goal in this match and make sure the move you make works towards that goal.

Switching to Kingdra with Dragon Scale

Switching to Ma'ar Nasai the Eelektross with a Thunder Stone.

Eelektross:
Super Fang --> Dragon Pulse --> Dragon Pulse

IF Bide, THEN activate action string Bind--> Attract --> Dragon Pulse
IF it is Raining, THEN change all instances of Dragon Pulse to Thunder.
IF Kingdra has any active clones, THEN use Discharge that action.

You didn't switch. You replaced a fainted mon. A counterswitch is only possible if your pokemon is still in (hasn't left via u-turn or co), it didn't faint and the opponent isn't trapped and then you switch in some mon. This isn't the case here.

Also, while I forgot to mention, I am to order first next round and only the player ordering first can switch in pokemon.

speaking of which

Switching to Gourgeist
Counterswitch?

Colossoil out [AUTOMATIC]

I like how you managed to accomplish the task I handed you to pair Lucario with Colossoil. That was very good.

We just need to work more on how to pressure a mon properly. Specially one as tricky as Colossoil. But the third battle should help in that regard.

Granny Pie to order.

Lucario:
Endure --> Drain Punch --> Drain Punch
IF Colossoil is to use Sand Tomb, THEN use Detect that action, and push back actions. [NONCONSECUTIVE]
IF Colossoil is to use Encore, THEN use Drain Punch that action.
IF Colossoil is to use a seismic attack, THEN use Magnet Rise that action, and push back. (Is this a legal sub?)

Seismic attacks isn't a legal sub class. The Classes are strictly those on the handbook:

  • Protective Moves: Protect, Detect, King's Shield, Spiky Shield, Mat Block, Baneful Bunker
  • Evasive Moves: Agility [Evasive], Teleport [Evasive]
  • Protective / Evasive Move: Protect, Detect, King's Shield, Spiky Shield, Mat Block, Baneful Bunker, Agility [Evasive], Teleport [Evasive]
  • Damaging Evasive Moves: Dig, Fly, Dive, Bounce, Shadow Force, Phantom Force
  • Damaging Priority Moves: Accelerock, Aqua Jet, Bullet Punch, Extreme Speed, Fake Out, Feint, First Impression, Ice Shard, Mach Punch, Quick Attack, Shadow Sneak, Sucker Punch, Vacuum Wave, Water Shuriken

  • Damaging [Type] Moves: Covers all of Flamethrower, Lava Plume, Fire Blast, Ember, etc. under the umbrella of "Damaging Fire-type Move." Covers all of Psychic, Psyshock, Confusion, Dream Eater, etc. under the umbrella of "Damaging Psychic-type Move." This also applies to moves which deal Fixed Damage, such as Mirror Coat, Seismic Toss and Night Shade. NOTE: This Substitution applies to all attacks of a certain type that have a BAP, so moves like Rapid Spin and Knock off will trigger "Damaging Normal-type Move" and "Damaging Dark-type Move," respectively. This does NOT apply for suspended Damaging-Evasive moves, as they don't have a BAP when suspended. This includes Z-Moves.
  • Damaging [Type] Combinations: All combinations that are of [Type] will activate the substitution. NOTE: A damaging [Type] combination activates a substitution for damaging [Type] moves.
  • Damaging [Type] Z-Move: All Z-Moves that are of [Type] will activate the substitution.

As I said, you accomplished the goal I put to you, so in that sense you did pretty well. Really liked the sub abuse to get rid of gourgeist (it wasn't intentional of me to put that there). Colossoil is just a very tricky pokemon, so you need to get a better grip at how to deal with such mons, so you can apply proper pressure on the matchups you manage to force. If you manage to get that hammered enough, you should be gold for big boys battles.

If you want to do the third battle, hit me up on PM. We have time.
