Metal Burst is the retaliation move you did not sub for, which is weaker but it still reflect damage.
Torment prevents you from using Play Rough again a2 and a3
Because you will Struggle a3, Will-o-wisp will be safe to use.

Metal Burst was a good move, I definitely missed that one, but appears you missed something as well: Azumarill's Signature Item, Sea Incense, allows the move Play Rough to be unaffected by Torment, Disable, and/or Imprison. Many players overlook/forget about their opponent's item and it can cost them the round and possibly the battle. Just remember to check your opponent's and even your item so you don't miss anything important.

Will-O-Wisp was also a nice play, but you should of done it A1 so you could have take less damage and Sableye would be a lot more healthier (3 burned Play Roughs would of done 47dmg aka Sableye would be at 43hp) than it is now.

Singles is all about match-up control and at this moment, although Sableye has a bunch a tricks and fun games, Sableye vs Azumarill is not a fun matchup. A better option would be to do what ASBers call a "Chicken Dance" Where you usually would use Protect or use Fake Out since its a more useful tool because it can deal free damage on the first use (unless opponent is immune to flinching), then use a damaging move that would hit hard, a move that would cripple the opponent (Will-O-Wisp), a move that would partial trap or fully trap the opponent (Mean Look) then Protect again or Recover hp.

TL;DR Metal Burst is nice, Be sure to pay attention to items, and if you don't see yourself in a good position it is best to do the most damage you possible can do and switch out and recover later, OR preserve your Pokemon by Chicken Dancing and switching out

  • Nice item choice, not only the +1 to all stats ranks is nice, going electric/poison memory would make it hard to fight Nidoking, nb
  • That endure sub is unnecessary, your orders do not KO Azumarill, if i'm correct your orders only do 45, so yea sorta wasted sub :x. Instead you could sub for Rest since I can recover hp using that a lot better than recovering with Aqua Ring, or d/e cause I could just slow you down with Icy Wind or Bulldoze then Dive spam and switch out, or even whirlpool would be a nice thing to sub for jic I would want to get out of this match up without giving you the option to counter switch or hey even a P/E sub.
  • Also Super Effective moves aren't always your strongest moves (unless youre using thunder fang to hax then youre a fun guy) for example Multi Attack does more damage than Thunder Fang and the same as Thunderbolt w/o recoil or repercussions (like sluggish) tho this is just me nitpicking :x

  • Substitute wasn't a great move, as it broke after only one hit. I think you miscalculated Sludge Wave, maybe you missed STAB or Life Orb or Sheer Force? I'd be interested to know, I can't see how you got to 14.
  • Your sub for being poisoned is a bit weird. Being poisoned isn't too much of a problem, and you're woken up from Rest by Nidoking's attacks before you can heal.

  • Parting Shot last round could have been a good idea to get Gardevoir in to hit Nidoking hard - I think Toon taught you about the Chicken Dance already?
  • Good orders to get lots of damage off. Giga Impact's probably better used ordering second when you know Sluggish won't cause any issues, but it's fine here if I'm not activating your subs.
  • You should read the description of Explosion:

  • P/E subs and D/E subs are good here so you can get an attack off. I also like how you accounted for suspended D/E moves as well as successful P/E, they're both often forgotten about. I think using an attack instead of Parting Shot would be better for the Ground-type moves sub since you're on 25HP and likely going to faint this round and getting an attack off will be more beneficial. (Also D/E moves have priorities of 0/-2, not +1/-1, but I'm glad you know the attack has negative priority :> )
  • Substitute would be a good move if not for sound moves going through them, which is another of those little things you'll grasp with experience. You'd usually prefer a different set up move like Swords Dance or Light Screen, or a healing move. Silvally doesn't have these so Substitute would normally be a nice choice, but unfortunately Nidoking has Round.

  • I like both the Gardevoir sendout into Nidoking and the Sableye sendout into Metagross.
  • Burning Metagross is a good idea if it's going to stay burnt. It has several ways to remove burn though (Iron Defense, Rest, Refresh) so maybe this wouldn't be a great idea. Another option would've been subbing for "If Metagross is not burnt and not under the effects of Rest" to try to chew up its actions.
  • I like the first two subs, and the third is almost very good. If you had Metal Burst (Stall) there instead, it would have removed most of Metagross's damaging options, but it was a bit abusable when you didn't. Stall is just another one of those abilities that's commonly forgotten, so don't worry about it.
