As for how he met Doduodrio, he found Davri and the rest of Team Friendship camped outside the local Pokémon daycare, planning a siege to "rescue" all of the "poor trapped souls." Luckily, he was able to stop them and recruit them to join his team so that they wouldn't cause any more mischief.
