BDSP Doubles OU Team Help

Hey everybody! So, seeing how BDSP came out just recently, and Quagsire being one of my favorite pokemon of all time, I decided that I wanted to try to make a Doubles OU team that was based around Quagsire. Since I'm still somewhat new to team building, I'm not entirely sure if the team I set up has enough synergy together, or if I should make some changes. Here is the team that I have as of now:

I was thinking about changing Garchomp's ability to Sand veil, but I'm not completely sure yet. Tips and advice would be much appreciated!

ok, so update on the team so far. I switched out Pachi for Raikou, and changed some of the moves for the team. I also gave Garchomp the ability Sand veil as well, just in case the enemy team has a Tyranitar on their side. I will keep trying to find improvements, but pro advice would be great as well! ^-^

New Team:

I would definitely recommend at least 1 more Defensive/Support type, it could really help if you pair up with one of your Sweepers. For Defensive, I would recommend Corviknight, and I could send you a few of my teams for a base.

Sand Veil on Garchomp is up to you, if you can get a Pokemon in your team that can cause a sandstorm, then yes, Sand Veil on Garchomp is a good idea.

I don't really play doubles but a lot of your movesets and evs are very weird. Heatran is a way better special attacker but you have 3 physical moves and overheat with -spatk nature. A better offensive set could be magma storm, earth power, flash cannon, and lava plume for a reliable fire move or ancient power if you really want rock coverage. Breloom is a physical attacker but it has sludge bomb and also 2 status condition moves. A better set would be spore, mach punch, bullet seed, and maybe focus punch and technician>effect spore. Scizor and quagsire are mostly fine, but quagsire usually runs toxic over ice beam, and scizor should have roost over u-turn since you don't want to pivot out of your setup. Raikou should not be a mixed attacker since crunch gives the same super-effective coverage as shadow ball and is resisted more. The only replacement is extrasensory. Finally, garchomp should never be sand veil unless paired with a sand setter, and flame orb only works well with the guts ability. If you want a mixed set you could use draco meteor, earthquake, fire blast, and stone edge with life orb item.

Alrighty. Using the suggestions that you gave me, I changed the moves, natures, and EVs of most of my pokemon. Does this look a lot better?

Hi, welcome to Smogon! I am locking your RMT for the time being as the forum rules require that you provide at least three lines of descriptions for each Pokemon to explain their roles. Please read the rules carefully and look at Team Showcase to see the detail we require. PM me with updated descriptions, and I will be happy to unlock this.

Why did you choose this mon
What do the EV spreads do and why do you have it
What are all 4 moves for

:ss/quagsire:
First, Quagsire isn't a really viable pokemon on Doubles, since it's way too passive and Gastrodon is just way better. Gastrodon, for example, could work on teams that are weak to water-types, absorbing its attacks because of Storm Drain, or as a way to lure some pokemon like Garchomp and Heatran. Gastrodon would work well paired with Scizor or Heatran since it can check pokemon that both have trouble against, like the aforementioned Heatran and Garchomp.
But using Quagsire, doesn't allow you to KO Garchomp and needs some investment to KO Heatran, while also being less bulky and not having Storm Drain as an ability. The access to Toxic could be a reason to use Quagsire tho, but on the majority of teams Gastrodon would be way better.

If you still want to use Quagsire this is the spread that I'd use (you can put some EVs on Sp Attack), keep in mind that it can't KO Garchomp and it can be easily overwhelmed.
Quagsire @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Toxic
- Recover

:ss/Latios:

Garchomp works on teams that have a lot of immunities to Earthquake, with partners such as Rotom-W, Togekiss and Latios, so I'd replace it for Latios. Latios is probably the best pokemon on the tier right now, threatening opposing Latios and spamming powerful Dracos on everything that isn't Togekiss. It supports its teammates with Tailwind and checks Breloom, since you're using Quagsire.

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psychic
- Tailwind
- Protect

:ss/Breloom: :ss/Raikou:

Since Breloom is really weak to Latios and Togekiss, Raikou is a nice option being able to check really well Togekiss and at least soft check Latios with access to Snarl. Breloom benefits from Latios's Tailwind being really annoying to deal with.
Breloom's set should have Protect and Raikou can be offensive, but in this team an utility set with Snarl looks better.

Breloom @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spore
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed
- Protect

Raikou @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Snarl
- Volt Switch / Reflect
- Protect

For the last two slots I don't think having double Steel would be good, since it could stack a lot of weaknesses and they don't have a lot of synergy. So I thought about two teams using those 4 pokemons and 2 other.

:ss/Heatran: :ss/Togekiss:

Heatran has a problem dealing with Garchomp, Tyranitar, Latios, Breloom and Hitmontop and Nasty Plot Togekiss can deal with them. It will still be weak to some pokemons like Manaphy, Rotom-W and even Rock Slide Tyranitar, but Breloom and Quagsire can deal with them.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Heat Wave
- Earth Power
- Substitute
- Protect

Togekiss @ Scope Lens
Ability: Super Luck
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Dazzling Gleam
- Aura Sphere
- Roost

:ss/Scizor: :ss/Entei:

I'm not sure if Scizor fits well with Breloom, but I'd try Entei as a partner. It completes the Water/Grass/Fire core and can threaten Heatran with Bulldoze while apreciating Scizor checking Latios and Tyranitar.

Scizor @ Metal Coat
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- X-Scissor
- Protect

Entei @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Bulldoze
- Extreme Speed
- Protect
