Mamoswine is fantastic pick on Ice team which provides colorful utility with access to Stealth Rock and being immune to Electric-type attacks along with great coverage against Steel-types. Earthquake enables Mamoswine to clear troublesome Steel-types such as non-Air Balloon Heatran, Hisuian Goodra and Bisharp which are a great threat to Ice teams. Ice Shard enables Mamoswine to get around it's mediocre speed stat and allows it to finish off faster weakened and chipped threats such as Dragapult, Meowscarada, Landorus formes and Tornadus-T. Smack Down cripples Flying-types weak to Ground-type moves without the immunity such as Zapdos and Corviknight. In addition to this, Smack Down also threatens foes such as Articuno, Moltres and Volcarona. Alternatively, Icicle Crash can also be used to fulfill the demand of an strong Ice-type move which gives Mamoswine leverage to eliminate foes such as Roaring Moon, Mandibuzz, Ting Lu and Hippowdon. The given EVs allow Mamoswine to outlast defensive Corviknight by getting 3HKOed by Body Press after leftovers recovery from it, furthermore let's it survive +1 Flamethrower from offensive Volcarona and OHKOing it in return with Smack Down and also allows it to outspeed max speed Adament Iron Hands
Alolan Ninetales is a great partner to Mamoswine as it sets snow and screens via Aurora Veil allowing Mamoswine to stand longer on the battlefield allowing it to take on foes such as Ceruledge and easily set up hazards. It also threatens Fighting-type foes such as Great Tusk and Urshifu-R. Cloyster is another great ally which can become very threatening after a Shell Smash taking care of Fire-type threats such as Ogerpon-H and Ceruledge. Similarly, Cetitan also is another partner who can set up Belly Drum to become very fierce and wipe out foes such as Metagross and Iron Treads. Avalugg provides Mamoswine a clean path to enter by removing hazards with the help of Rapid Spin. Combination of IronPress allows Avalugg to outlast physical attacking Water-types foes such as Ogerpon-W and Barraskewda. Kyurem and Weavile are offensive partners of Mamoswine. Kyurem being a special attacking powerhouse removes alot of annoying pokemon such as Archaludon and Toxapex.
