The battle begins as kenneth1221 sends out Dancer-Torchic, while p4r6g6 sends out Sun WuKong-Chimchar, who dashes forward and Fakes Out its foe, who flinches back as Chimchar Digs underground, giving Torchic an opportunity to create a small doll in its own image to Substitute for it just in time to block the attack executed by Chimchar as it emerges from the ground. Chimchar then performs an Acrobatic attack that shatters Torchic's substitute, who becomes cloaked in a Shadowy fire before Charging its foe and slashing at it with its Claws, then uses leftover energy from the attack to energize itself, increasing its movement speed.

Torchic then Focuses its Energies, heightening its senses as Chimchar delivers a Thundering Punch that causes a burst of electricity upon impact, striking a weak spot with tremendous force. After recovering from the strike, Torchic ignites its inner Flames and Charges at its foe, using its talons to strike a vulnerable spot, then uses leftover energy to augment its movement speed. Chimchar then Digs underground a second time before emerging underneath Torchic and tripping its feet out from under it.

The battle of the Fire Type starters is drawing to a close. It was pretty epic. Who knew that a chick and a baby monkey with a weird butt could have put up such a battle. However, it appears Sun WuKong will be on top!

You have been doing great Sun! I appreciate the effort. Let's finish this once and for all. This round if possible!

Unfortunately, it appears likely that Dancer will get a Critical Hit. However, we have to hope we are lucky. Maybe Thunderpunch will Paralyze the little bird. That would be great.

Torchic then performs an attack intended to Reverse the outcome of the battle, but it doesn't have that much of an effect, despite striking Chimchar in a weak spot, who then Punches its attacker with an electrified fist before Digging underground, prompting Torchic to creates a Team of shadowy Doubles that fool its foe into striking the wrong target after emerging from the ground.

Shouldn't Torchic's attack have been carried through before it fainted? I looked in the Data Audit spreadsheet and Reversal does not have negative priority. At the beginning of the round Torchic's Speed was 78.75, which is higher than Chimchar's 61 Speed stat, so shouldn't Torchic's attack connected? Or do combo attacks have negative priority? If I am wrong, sorry for the bother.

Anyways, we got type advantage this time Chimchar. Hopefully we can get some nice damage off before you go down.
