Behemoths of the Sand

Hi everyone PoketrainerRED here and this is my first XY RMT! Ive been testing out many teams on PS lately and this one has had the most success on the ladder. Its a sort of sand offensive team that looks to set up with bisharp, or wearing down teams and cleaning up with genesect and megachomp

Genesect @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Download
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Atk
Hasty Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Bug Buzz
- Ice Beam
- Flamethrower
- U-turn
The big bad bug is back in OU and i couldnt be happier. In this fairly physically based team he is the lone real special attacker. He brings crucial momentum with u-turn and perhaps even more useful is his ice beam. This punches holes in things that normally give me trouble like subtoxic gliscor or dragon and flying types like dragonite. I chose the scarf cause i need speed on this team, seeing as my other five members are fairly slow naturally. flamethrower hits scizor, other genesects and if i get a special download boost, anything thats weak to it. U-turn is also crucial because on smeargle leads i get an attack boost and uturn out to my ttar so smeargle only has one turn of life wherther it be spore or SR

Garchomp @ Garchompite
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 212 Spd / 252 Atk / 44 HP
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Swords Dance
- Stone Edge

This man is my late game clean up and boy does he do it well. Bulky as hell, and strong as hell mega garchomp will tear holes in your soul if you allow set up untouched. Not much else to say other than the fact that if need be he punches holes in stall and if you dont have a dragon resist you are going to die to a plus 2 outrage from this beast. If i keep him at full the entire game, and bring him out last he will be able to tank almost any hit and fire back with something to kill with. he takes out talonflame aegislash lucario ttar. some worrisome pokes include belly drum azumarill, specs latios togekiss and has trouble with skarm as well as well as defensive gliscor. (hate that thing)

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Sassy Nature
- Crunch
- Stealth Rock
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
Specially defensive ttar. tanks hits with sand up, phazes other weathers, sets up rocks and provides residual with sand because no members of my team are weak to it. Not as necessary as some of my other members so if i need to take a status then he is my guy, although burns aren't my favorite I am looking at you rotom-w. especially with sand he is such a good sponge and of course he brings coverage for the infamous lati twins with classic pursuit trapping. Loses to pokes like terrakion and scizor obviously or offensive toed. he loses to physical mega luke also. He does provide along with intimidate support from Lando, a good answer to talonflame who causes some trouble otherwise and also he can take mega zard y head on.

Empoleon_by_Lizzleby.jpg

Empoleon @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Roar
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Defog
King Pen is perhaps the most important member on my team. Before i changed the team to accompany him i relied too heavily on ttar to tank special hits and any team that fired off strong water attacks just ran through my team and it was gg but this man not only provides great support against dragons but also obviously takes any water or ice hit so well. Defog is such a nice move to have especially with screeners and heavy spikes users. Roar is also great because anyone that tries to set up is phazed or if i need a baton pass team or subtoxic gliscor out of there or a clefable is trying its cosmic power bullshit on me it is stopped in its tracks. scald and ice beam for burns and coverage respectively.

bisharp__by_taka_f-d52hz40.jpg

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 224 Spd / 252 Atk / 32 HP
Adamant Nature
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
This man is one of my favorite pokemon this gen. steel types as attackers were given new life since fairies are weak to them. Defiant is such a great ability because no one remembers it. get up an SD and someone brings in an intimidate user... BAM plus 3 instead of 2 and youre gonna die to item boosted knock off. the only drawback to the dark knight is his middling speed stat making him reliant on sucker punch mind games which can make or break his life. overall he's one of my win conditions, and while he is easily countered if you guess right on the sucker punch but otherwise youre gonna die to plus 2 something.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 144 HP / 252 Def / 112 Atk
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
He takes fighting types on well obviously and all physical attacks other than ice and water so gyarados and mamoswine are problems, another thing is since i need more defensive support rather than offensive his attacks are fairly disappointing but with u-turn he provides much needed momentum and baits alot of ice type attackers that can be handled by bisharp or ttar. i only run to SRers because defog empoleon. Since it clears both and my team appreciates SR support, i run it on this too because ttar is going to die early most likely and SR is always good with common threats like Talonflame both megazards and things like mandibuzz.

Thanks for rating my team everyone i appreciate the feedback
