Bellington Boltus Sr demands respect.
[SET]
Special Wall (Bellibolt) @ Sitrus Berry / Magnet / Leftovers
Ability: Electromorphosis
Level: 50
EVs: 29 HP / 4 Def / 2 SpA / 28 SpD / 3 Spe
Calm Nature
- Volt Switch
- Parabolic Charge
- Soak / Toxic / Acid Spray
- Slack Off
[SET COMMENTS]
* With impressive special bulk, Bellibolt can soak up most of the special attacks in the format and turn them into fuel to boost its own damage and even heal itself!
* **Volt Switch**: Volt Switch is Bellibolt's means of pivoting out of incoming Electric resists. Positioning is important as all of Bellibolt's offensive options are Electric. In a pinch, it can be used to inflict the extra damage needed to secure a KO in the event Parabolic Charge lacks the power needed.
* **Parabolic Charge**: When boosted by Electromorphosis, Parabolic Charge becomes Bellibolt's primary offensive option. It boasts the amazing benefit of healing Bellibolt for some of the damage dealt, drastically increasing its survivability while dealing solid damage.
* **Soak**: Soak is a powerful utility option that turns opponents into the Water type, making them weak to Bellibolt's attacks and usually removing their STABs from incoming attacks. It can also be used preemptively against incoming Ground types, making them much more manageable to deal with.
* **Slack off**: Slack Off grants Bellibolt reliabile healing and increased longevity in the event Parabolic Charge isn't a wise move.
Items
========
* **Sitrus Berry**: Sitrus Berry allows in-a-pinch healing which can be very useful for taking on powerful attackers with high base power moves, such as Dragonite Mega's Draco Meteor
* **Magnet**: Magnet boosts the power of Bellibolt's attacks and in the case of Parabolic Charge, its healing.
* **Leftovers**: Leftovers is a great option for Bellibolt's intending to take on more defensive teams as the consistent healing when paired with Parabolic Charge make Bellibolt exceptionally difficult to damage with the lower offensive power of defensive teams
SP Spread
========
* **29 HP / 4 Def / 2 SpA / 28 SpD / 3 Spe with a Calm Nature**: 29 HP and 4 Defense Guarantee Bellibolt will survive Jolly Garchomps Earthquake. 3 Speed allows us to outspeed uninvested Hippowdown and use Soak to enable pivoting. 2 Special Attack ensures the OHKO on uninvested Garchomp after Soak and Electromorphosis. The rest is placed into Special Defense to maximize bulk
Other Options
========
* **Toxic**: Toxic allows Bellibolt to stack on an extra layer of offensive pressure during sustained battles. It can also punish incoming Ground types by placing them on a timer.
* **Acid Spray**: Acid Spray improves Bellibolts matchup against more defensive teams and Calm Mind users who attempt to take advantage of Bellibolt's semi-passive toolkit.
